Whoever keeps rambling about the state team, relax bro! Don't be jelly. everyone will end up at stars anyways..

    Forza Stars!!

Ding Ding! Crazy AGE group. They are 11 and 12. No College Coach is recruiting your 11 and 12 year old. Stay with the coach you love, team you like or are growing with and be happy! Many, Many things are going to change in the next 2 -3 years. Heck the striker and center mid from Surf might suck by then..

You're so right. That's what I don't get about crazy Surf dad. All well and good to enjoy your kid playing but let's not get over our ski tips. The sports world (especially soccer) is littered with kids who once were good then puberty hit and then not as good. These Surf parents are insane unfortunately and even though there's 1400 pages of a 2007 thread that explains this in great detail. I would encourage crazy Surf parents to read it.

Even if they do stay good, humility is the most underrated asset of a top player. Learn it now.

Yep, being called a good teammate for the players. Being thankful and humble is what is good for the parents.

The Hingham kids are multi sport kids and are investing time in lacrosse, skiing, basketball etc, they are not specializing so early and don’t want to commit the time year round to just soccer. 2. The parents and kids are turning down the idea of blue due to not wasting time driving to practices far away. All that driving is hard on professional working families and affects academics. Long story short the kids from Hingham area don’t think the commute to Lancaster is worth it. However they are better athletes.
did you just say that SSS is a club that promotes and lets their players play other sports?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Are you laughing because you experienced otherwise? We have good friends in Select and their kids are too players who also play competitive lacrosse and ski. So, not sure what your laughing at but Select kids are seen coming from basketball practices to GA practices, lacrosse practices to impact practices. Our club has zero problem with top two teams in each age group playing multiple sports.

Yes all top SSS players should stay at SSS, forgo what age groups before did. You know best.

You can play other sports but soccer must be your priority. You cannot choose another sport over SSS practice. If you think otherwise you are misinformed. They even tell parents at the beginning of the season that GA is for players that prioritize soccer. If you want to play other sports then Impact is the better team for you.

Funny because didn’t UNC just make it to the NCAA final with former Select player and isn’t UCLA in the semifinals with a Select player? Are their former Stars players there? Legitimate question because I don’t know.

Agree, and this is no compliment to Surf. This is an old GPS team, Surf got lucky. But they have some real talent, at least for this season.

They would have been 8 when GPS folded. Is this a joke?

Bloody hell, please give it a rest, Surf Dad. No one cares about your supposed superstar right now. This pretend opposing parent charade is hilarious. There isn't even a team that has played against Surf and also played against NEFC pre-GA, SSS pre-GA, and Stars this year. There is lots of talent among the SSS midfielders and attackers and the NEFC midfielders.

It's always kind of interesting when people make claims like this. It could be in earnest or it could just be trolling—who really knows? But if in earnest then just think about this: if you are playing Surf Navy in tournaments, then how in the world could you really compare what you're seeing to the players on Stars Blue, SSS, and NEFC? You're not seeing those players faced with the next level of competition. Same goes for the players on those teams...how can you know what you're really looking at until you see them against better opposition?

I believe SUSA and Juventus DPL may have played Surf and at least one of the other teams this year. I don't know if there are any teams that have played all of them so far.
