The fact that NEFC parents are happy with this is shocking. That is your only competition until Champions League and Playoffs. Congrats on wasting a year of play. I’d much rather be Select, Stars Blue, Scorps, Stars White or NE Surf players/families this weekend. Cedar Stars 3rd in GA tied Stars White last in ECNL. Select and Stars Blue both had battles with the likes of SUSA and Match Fit. Congrats on your trophy vs the mighty RI Surf though.

Where do you get the idea that parents are happy for NEFC to have bailed on Stars Cup? It’s a crappy situation.

I would think that Stars Blue would also want the opportunity to test themselves against the top team in the state instead of playing the same ECNL kids they’ll see in league play in a couple of weeks :P

Saw many of the 11 games and saw some talent on many teams. Both top tier and second tier at Stars Cup. What I took away from the weekend is the 2011 talent is not consolidated. Saw players carrying teams. Central midfielders doing all the work, great GKs under pressure due to weak defense. Wingers not getting the job done. Best team playing as a team SUSA. They looked like a group who’ve been playing together and coached well. The rest of the teams in top bracket and Champions have holes and players not playing together not vocal. Hopefully it’s just preseason lack of gelling.

Nefc 2011 parents will soon learn the hard lesson that the 09s and 10s already learned. Nefc is a boys club. The girls side is a washed-up has-been echo chamber for ego-maniac coaches looking to line their pockets.

The talent will leave by spring.
