Sure, but say you actually try and develop players in-house. Might be better to train enough extra players to play in 2 9v9 teams and keep the best ones when you go to 11v11, instead of promoting the best from the 2nd/other region teams and trying to bring them up to speed.

They don't develop players in house. In past year, signed a girl from SSS and a girl from Surf. That's it.

Why all this love for PW, My daughter played for him and thought his practices were redundant, Girls on his team like him but doesn't really teach them the game and will cancel practice any chance he got.

You are in the minority on this one. Every family I know that has a d who played for PW is still grateful for that time. He maintains a positive coaching relationship with the kids he has coached long beyond the time they play for him. One of the few coaches who truly cares about the girls as people. Stars is lucky and smart to have him.

Is there any chance PW takes over as Stars White director? I read a lot of negative comments about the current white director so PW seems like a worthy replacement. I have also never seen or met the current white director so I leave open the possibility that all of the negativity is just a small but vocal group of parents with an axe to grind.

SM is great (so is PW). It is a small group of parents that don’t like him and most are on other teams and don’t like his sideline antics, which are admittedly over the top some times. If you are a parent of a different team I can see how you wouldn’t like him but as a parent of a girl he coaches I can say he is best coach she has ever had in any sport. Some guy will come here and say we are all brainwashed by him and in a cult or whatever. The stuff on here about him is stupid. I know my daughter loves playing for him and so do all of her teammates. I ask her all the time how she likes him and how other girls do because I’ve read things about how mean he is. It’s definitely not the case. He’s demanding and dedicated.

We played SM white national team. 2010. He encouraged his forwards to constantly slide tackle our defenders and charge our keeper dangerously. His players are at risk of seriously injuring themselves never mind the other team because many were not even doing it well. As a coach I’d want my players to stay on their feet, especially forwards. If they don’t have the speed to beat defenders then they need to work harder.

Wait, for clarity, so your daughter plays for SM, which means you don’t know PW nor have had him as a coach, so your claim of him being great is based off what? People don’t like SM and how he berates players on the sidelines which “are admittedly over the top…” aka “true” by your own words. So the rumors on here are true, as the parent of one of his players, but he’s a great coach?!?!?!?! Tell me your contradicting yourself, without saying “I’m contradicting myself”

No merge. Blue and white keep teams separate. This whole merge idea only exists on TS. If Blue coach (PW) wants to make an offer to a white player he can of course and the player can accept or decline. If a white player wants to go to a blue tryout they can. If they get an offer good for them. But there is no actual merge.

Considering PW has been at NEFC for about 5 years and in that time frame no players left NEFC for white. NO, that’s not possible, but nice try.

Which coach is taking over white? Definitely not PW he is loved by the 2010 blue.
