When are the kids from Select and NEFC moving to Stars?

SSS probably won’t lose many to Stars because of the commute. If they leave to pursue ECNL it will be Scorpions. Not that Scorpions is comparable to Blue, but commute to Lancaster not happening for Select players. NEFC should have already packed their bags. Best players should be at blue practices. its not because of the drive its because of the lack of talent - everyone knows the 2010 SSS team has 1 good player, they have mastered the kick and chase mentality. Lack of talent?… I don’t think so. Possibly this team is gelling and maybe if the coach style is more direct that might be hard for the girls who are possession style of play as they learn on Impact and pre GA last year. I can say the coaching last year of 2010s was different than this year… either way, lacking talent is a Crappy thing to say about 12 year olds but don’t expect much from NEFC dad.Comment

Partially agree here. Style of play is on the coach for sure, and there is more than the one talented player on that team. Would even bet that another player or two would translate just as well as the striker on a better team. Problem is the team isn’t very deep and the midfielders have to stay back and cover for the holes in the team. They then boot the ball forward and can’t join in the attack because they are told to stay back and cover. So do they need mids or another forward? Should look at the impact teams believe it or not I’ve seen some good mids and atleast one strong forward on a few impact teams and bolts. Select can shop from their own impact team or bolts south has some good players. I’d mention liverpool too but word is too players looking at scorpions ECNL. Individual teams may lack depth but this age group as a whole has plenty of depth, and they are still young. Half this group still 6th graders.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment
