Next year the top 5 white players including the white keeper will join Blue. Blue is only expected to move 3 from the bottom to white. Blue did not have a full roster. Lost a couple players. They can take 5 without cutting more than 3. None will go to Blue regional they all want White now that SM won’t be coaching white.
The coaching assignments will be very important for this age group. SM was tough. Loved by some, hated by others, but he got results even if he lost some players. PW is a very good coach and will be great for Blue next year once he fills the holes in his roster.

Could care less if blue or white win or lose. I do enjoy watching the arrogance of blue parents that just assume white players will join their team and bail them out from all the losses.
The questions remain. How did this situation occur in the first place? Poor coaching on blue? Poor player selection by Stars for blue during tryouts? Parent social manipulation to keep their kid without skills on blue. Are blue parents shoveling $$$ into coaches pockets to stay on the team?
It's fun watching clubs and parents squirm when reality comes knocking on the "elite" bubble they've created around themselves.

to answer your questions:
-poor coach (singular) on Blue, compare last years results with former coach. Both in W-L record and actual performance/brand of soccer on the field. The kids are kicking incessant long balls and balls in the air because that is what they are being asked to do, not because they don't have the talent to do something better
-poor player selection because they fired the one person who understood the team, its strengths and weaknesses. They kept some kids, and failed to strengthen positions because the chaos created by firing KM at tryout season left them with few options. Also, this is the latest they have 'merged' the teams in recent memory. They created two middle of pack teams instead of 1 great team. SM wanted to keep his group and he got his wish. Most people wish nothing but success for the kids on Stars White, but the reality is they will struggle against top national teams. A combined team and a good coach would have given Stars a fighting chance at nationals. Not to win, but to be competitive. As of now, neither team is likely to make playoffs.
-likely.
-unlikely

Think of this situation from a Stars White parent/player perspective. What they see is that white is performing above general expectations and blue performing below expectations. White also sees blue patents "shopping" on their team for talent. These are the same patents and coaches that looked over white players in the past. What's changed? Has white players developed so much more that blue that they are the top talent in the club? Were they always the top talent in the club but being held back for whatever reason?
Blue parent perspective is clear. They just want to stop losing.
Will a better coach and shuffling players address the blue issues? Likely yes but the club is going piss off a lot of patents along the way.
If players really want to make Stars sweat start trying out at other clubs. You should be doing this anyway just to have options if everything blows up.

Stars White players were never turned down by Stars Blue. Some of those players have always been among the best in the club, but most, if not all, came directly into the Stars White ecosystem. Everyone knows that regardless of where you start, the future top team will be Stars Blue. Hard to get pissed off when the thing that happens is the thing that was always going to happen and everyone was fully aware of that. If someone wasn’t aware, they are either not paying attention or were lied to by someone.

Just enjoy watching entitled parents squirm.
To make things better stars leadership will need to publicly acknowledge to parents that white is playing well and that blue is not up to expectations. Do this before shuffling players and they'll be able to save both teams. Ignore it and blue parents will just group up against white parents that are brought up. Also the players pushed "down" to white will leave because they won't understand why the changes were made.
Funny that you see my comments as being adversarial. I'm just pointing out facts. However it's probably not what you want to hear.

It's a total failure. Coaching, culture, roster. GB is not the savior - he is the root cause.
