a wet field doesn't bother these future masters of the universe......they all walk on water. rain, on the other hand can be a problem. upturned noses fill quickly, and unlike their parents, they can't hide under an umbrella. ;)

Getting a little off topic. After seeing Brandeis ranked nationally I wanted to know what their schedule looked like and who they had played. I have never heard of the UAA conference, however after doing so I was wondering if it may be stronger, from top to botton, then the NESCAC.
I didn't realize a Div 3 team or conference would travel that far! Atlanta, Pittsburg, St. Louis, Cleveland....
Thoughts?

I've seen some very good and some very bad soccer this year in D3, that said if a high school athlete is looking to play college soccer in either the UAA or NESCAC they better be ready to work their tail off to (1) make the roster, and (2) maybe you will get some playing time. Those who believe anyone can play D3 mens college soccer hasn't seen the teams in UAA or NESCAC play. No its not D1, nor am I trying to suggest that it is (not even close), however it is a big leap above Club/DAP and high school in speed of play and physicality to these D3 conferences and many other D3 teams in New England. The depth of the rosters on some of these D3 teams is pretty deep and surprising. Those who don't think they will be challenged by playing D3 college soccer will be in for a surprise.

How would our top U18 DAP teams do against some of the top D3 teams in MA? Amhest, Williams, Brandeis?

Chicago, Wash U, Carnegie Mellon, Emory, NYU, Rochester, Brandeis, etc. Some of the best schools in the country.

DAP players are giving up playing for their High School team, so they can play D 3 soccer next year? I thought all DAP players played for UCONN and ACC Colleges?

The style of play in D3 is often times better to watch than D1. Often times there are smaller players (than D1) that had to learn to really play the game and utilize ball skills over physical dominance. The difference between D1,D2 and D3 often is often just the physical make up of the players, not so much their soccer ability. I suspect that had DF not chosen the Revs and pursued a college career, he would not have even been on the radar for a lot of D1 programs.
