wait wait wait....if NEFC slides into PDA's spot then what about SSS??? Afterall select always 1000% compares themselves with NEFC so if NEFC gets in SSS will demand to get in! Didn't their 06's just beat NEFC 06's? That means both clubs are equal. Here's to both NEFC and SSS getting into ECNL. It's not fair if just NEFC gets in. Then who would SSS compare themselves to.....Oakwood, Seacoast, Empire United, NYSC, LISC, or even maybe Bayside.

NEFC and SSS are the same. So yes both teams should be in the ECNL.

Most of the players are B league players, so eliminating R teams won't really help improve the level of play in ECNLO.

Is ECNL watered down? Perhaps, not really, who knows. The landscape is watered down overall with too many leagues and not enough talent. ECNL didn't introduce GDA/GAL, GDA did. ECNL/R didn't introduce EDP, EDP did. Each league is battling it out for talent and supremacy. The good thing for the consumer is they have lots of options. The bad thing for consumers is it's hard to read the landscape and figure out where your kid belongs.
you jackazz!! Both clubs are pretty equal if you go by age division. Select is actually better in most age divisions!

        09's NEFC > 09's Select
        08's Select > 08's NEFC
        07's NEFC > 07's Select
        06's Select > 06's NEFC
        05's Select > 06's NEFC

My calculations is 3-2 in favor of Select. You are just trying to stir the pot. Know what you are talking about before commenting. Every year Select is just as good as NEFC. Tired of reading how great NEFC is and how Select can't compete with them.

really? Please name 1 age division SSS is better than NEFC for 2022/2023. Don't say 06's just because they beat them for the 1st time in years last month. Every age division NEFC is ranked ahead of SSS. 09, 08, 07, 06, 05. What SSS team is better than NEFC? They are NOT the same.

Looks up definition of Monopoly, looks at market choices in MA for youth soccer, takes a breath before declaring poster the village idiot of TS, and asks nicely...
Would you explain why monopoly applies to this situation?

Please, you’re trying to assume intelligence and logic on TS and this idiotic thread.

Who cares? Neither NEFC or SSS will ever get into the ECNL. No matter how good the teams are. So enjoy being in the JV league.

This whole thread was about Stars White and Scorpions being crap. Stars White 2010 is very strong. Stronger than its blue and stronger than teams that are older. Scorpions was lower level but they are gaining RI top players and Southern MA. The whole NEFC vs Select drama should stay on its own thread as the two will both be the same as they are competing in the same league, same pathway, same outcome. They each have years they have dominated but to say they aren’t the same is ridiculous. And agreed Stars owner will never let other MA teams in ECNL.

There are 18 spots on an ECNL team. Where do players go who can’t play ECNL for whatever reason? Are you saying that there are only 18 good soccer players per age group in the whole state? Not buying into it.

Been around soccer long enough to know that there is about 80 plus strong players at each birth year able to be on an ECNL team. Of the 80 a 1/4 make ECNL team or choose to make the trek to Lancaster or for practices so that gives you about 60 or so solid players a year that end up on other teams spread out. Blue can only take so many you are right. The others could definitely roster a few more ECNL teams if we had more ECNL clubs around the state, NEFC and Select would be a great option but looks like Stars afraid of that.

There are 3 ECNL teams per age group in MA. That’s about 60 roster spots. How many ECNL teams do you want in our small state? 6? 10?

Only one per age. Stars Blue. Cannot count Scorpions as quality not there. Can’t count white as top players won’t play on the white B team.

Hey now leave me outta’ this. As the dad of the only kid dropped from the starting lineup I’ll assume you mean me. I don’t talk crap about anyone and keep my mouth shut. Girls had a great run and just be happy about that.

My opinions about the coach are mine alone and surely not going to post them on this place.
