This is our first go at club soccer as my oldest is a is a 2011 boy and keeps asking me to join a team. However, he is not the most athletic or gifted soccer player, which is why I have been hesitant to sign him up. He's a big soccer fan and goes to Revolution and US Soccer games all the time with me and I understand why he wants to do club. I was wondering if people could recommend a club that has multiple teams with different skill levels or even ones that may just accept practice players until he earns a spot. We are in the metrowest area (Dedham, Westwood, Medfield, Sherborn, Dover) and dont mind travelling 20-30 minutes for practices. Any suggestions would be appreciated, he's just too young in my opinion to turn him away from the game. Thanks

Try Abbey Villa - good coaching, but not top tier teams with high pressure. MetroWest trains out of Hopkinton now I believe.

If your son isn't going to be worried about how strong the team is then coaching/development and accessibility of practice locations should matter to you. Depending on who the coach is Bolts, Seacoast and Steel are all in that area and will absolutely have room for more 2011 boys. I would stay away from Valeo which is also nearby but I've not liked what I've seen of their boys director on the sideline. Just my opinion.
