They are losing ECNL and GA players because of poor coaching, poor refs, and high risk of losing scholarships. Of course there will still be the mid level and low level club players.
Keep pushing this baseless narrative if it makes you feel better. Every single player on my Ds ECNL team played HS and her HS team was all club players.

Depends on high school. Some are a complete joke, others are better.

Yeah, right... smh. Plenty of other ways to make sure that your kid doesn't sit on their ass any day... forcing them to play sports isn't one of them.

And, if you have to force them to do stuff sounds like they aren’t ready college and you are a douche.

That post was pure fabrication. GAL caved on the rule just two years ago. There's too many players that want to play HS and it's not changing

Two years ago they did. After last season, too many girls injured not just in our State, across the country. What they all fought for and thought they wanted is shifting as these hardworking elite national players are avoiding the HS injuries from poor coaching, inexperienced players and poor reffing. Not worth it!!!

Some how this post turned into HS soccer. I wqs speaking of Ages 9-14 ie pre-highschool. I've noticied that once the Spring season ends the coaches could careless. Yes the players still have practice but often teams are combined and coaches just stand in a circle backs to the players chatting away.

You are generalizing quit a bit. I was at my kid's practice last night and her coach was as engaged as ever. I assume this is the norm, not what you are observing with your team.

You just have a bad coach. He probably wasn't very engaged all year
