Sad to think someone might actually read and believe anything that site says.

The only National team invite in New England was from NEFC.

That means nothing. Top players like that will develop on their own regardless of club or league. Picks were generally about 70/30 ECNL vs GAL which isn't that far from market share figures

As for the "top" clubs in MA? Such a stupid questions because:

              - what's the metric to determine what is a "top"club? Numbers based only is debatable, and harder to measure things like "development" nearly impossible
              - everyone plays in different leagues making comparisons challenging at best
              - varies wildly by gender and age

Most importantly: what matters is if a team is a good fit for your player. The "top" club may not be a good fit for them at all.

It does make a difference locally. 70/30 is about the right split for talent nationally but locally GA is on par with ECNL. Disagree or not….this list is dumb

It’s great for the NEFC kid but it’s meaningless very kind of them though.

So you don’t think the club has anything to do with a player thats invited to a YNT camp? It’s not surprising that NEFC, although in the GA with Stars in the backyard, gets more invites than others. Better overall facilities, good coaching, competitive environment, coach advocates, etc.. not all clubs are created equal.

You forget FCStars told USYSL to go screw awhile back they don’t need them for what matters to most parents and that’s college not NT fantasy .

No one should be chosing a club because they sent a player or two over several years to a NT camp. There's so much more involved with a top level player than just the club they are with. Even club and meague politics sometimes come intobpkay with NT selections.

NEFC may be one of the better GAL clubs still in the league but GAL competition is very weak. Absolutely coaching matters but so does competition and challenges. Bench depth on your own team matters too because your teammates should be challenging you every practice. Also keep in mind GAL is barely 2 years old and many players were old enough that changing to ECNL didn't make sense. In another two years they'll be gone. Time will tell if GAL clubs can continue to attract at least some of the area's better talent or not, if college coaches keep coming or not.

I’m not saying you pick a club based on how many kids get picked for NT camp, but it’s undeniable that NEFC and SSS (I believe they have a player in camp too) have done a better job developing this level of talent. I am saying that that NEFC checks more boxes than Stars with coaching, facilities and development. I think we both agree that the teams vary wildly from age group to age group. In the end find a good fit…coaching, teammates, facilities, location.
