2nd that on compliling the list. FYI-Know there is another local in the UMASS-Amherst list not listed and 2 on the Franklin Pierce.

That was an interesting find. First, I hadn't figured out where JR of Sutton had gone. Big firgure in the D3 state championships the past two years. Next I knew I needed to have a look at FP, but was surprised at what I found. A reunion of sorts of some of the best Central MA players during their golden age around 2007 or so. Surprised they are still eligible. Must be a D2 thing. They will be very good this year IMHO.

If I am correct a lot of those transfers are actually grad students with another year of eligibility due to red shirt, injury or just not playing sr. year. Did not see it on the list but the Doherty HS keeper is on the Franklin Pierce roster also. Interested to see else is found on other teams D1, 2 or 3. Good to see many locals making the teams.

The Doherty keeper is on there. And the two players started their college careers in 2008. I thought you had to complete your 4 years of playing in 5 years. This would be a sixth.

someone does not understand quid pro quo...it is classic case, as I said spot on and BA won on both sides of it.

The last few posts have been cryptic. How about spelling it out for those of us not in your loop?

Bolts keep players on DAP and had them give up HS, had players parents pay for DAP and then rewarded them with going to NE. Early in the season the players are doing well. Looks like so far a win/win for both sides.

That would be incorrect. Knowing the boys firsthand I would say they are all soccer players and they were afforded the opportunity to play DAP, a more competitive, better soccer experience. Talk to any D1 college coach and they will tell you they want academy players over high school players. It is really that simple.

Not everyone will know that Northeastern and that age Bolts DAP team were coached by same person......maybe that helps some people follow.

Not agreeing with labeling this quid pro quo....but that is relationship people are commenting on. at least I think that's it.

My view is more simple. Good players found a good coach and a high level to play at. They did well enough to warrant consideration at D! program NU (and that option worked for them all things considered) and now they are there and the are early reports are they are doing well. strikes me as good all around....

That would be incorrect. Knowing the boys firsthand I would say they are all soccer players and they were afforded the opportunity to play DAP, a more competitive, better soccer experience. Talk to any D1 college coach and they will tell you they want academy players over high school players. It is really that simple.
Four did all go to NE...they all did pay the bolts for years to play...is there something in those two statement that is incorrect? It is obvious they are soccer players, If you look at list there are plenty of non academy players playing Div 1 and there are plenty of academy players playing lower than Div 1. I think coaches want the best players they can get and if that is a academy play that's fine, if it isn't that's fine too.
