I would venture a guess that most of these names are not put on the list by the parents. I did not want my son's name listed here and surely did not put it here. But once the club publishes their player's commitments, the info seems to show up here. I suspect there is one or two people who perpetuate and add to the list.

What a blowhard. Having a bad day? Some enjoy seeing where kids are going who played against their kids all these years. I'd be interested to know colleges even for kids who aren't playing soccer.

Op here. This list is not made by kids nor primarily for kids, as TS is much more an adult forum. If you go back 3-4 years, you will notice I track how the kids do year by year. That will start for this bunch in Sept/Oct. My current premise has been that about 10 MA kids/year end up playing a lot on their D1 team eventually. That has been holding steady so far. This year, over 40 kids are going D1, a record number. I'll be curious to see how that translates. As for parents hiding in the weeds, eventually we find you especially the D1 players, as college rosters are a public record and are easy to access.

Thanks for the info. By my count there are approaching 10 recruits for 2014 that I have collected, including some top pedigree schools I might add. I plan to start the 2014 thread around late Sept/Oct as always. And I'm sure there are more than 10 right now. It's just what I know.

The coach lied. It happens all the time. It doesn't mean that the rest of the freshman there signed NLIs.

do the ones who signed NLI have an edge on those who did not ? Granted everyone including returnees need to prove themselves.
