No. Most clubs have a weekly skills session that focuses on technique but most training sessions involve lots and lots of passing drills and rondo, which are are at best a blend of technical and tactics. Lots of focus on creating passing lanes, moving off ball, switching the field, and making quick decisions. ie tactics. Kids get reminders in passing form, but the vast majority of technical work is done at home. Any kid you see with ball skills does their work at home.

It’s basically a total waste of money ,unless your kid has exceptional talent or somewhat talented on a team that wins tournaments ie PDA ,CASL ,Jeff Cup .Especially now with the cost of travel ,hotels, rental car and food.Clubs don’t care and even ask you to pay your coaches travel expenses .Most college scouts aren’t going to go to the lone field #16 for copper division ,when fields #1-8 of platinum and gold ranked teams are playing right next to each other.

          Our semantics are conflicting.

I think it’s the verbal attacks that were ‘conflicting’

Written attacks, you mean? Semantics again, right?

Yes written. Thanks for correcting me. You are truly a sharp one.

Although since it is only semantics that separate our points, that must mean that you also have no clue what you are talking about. Zero. And that you are also a really bad coach or clueless parent. Right? After all, those are your exact words. Written words that is.

Yes. What a scam the raffle is. As if we don't pay enough, now we have to round up more money to pay for someone elses soccer too.

Agree. I’m all for helping out families that can’t afford soccer but there’s not really any incremental cost to a club in offering a scholarship. The fields are ready rented, the coaches are already being paid and there’s always going to be an open spot on an age and skill appropriate team. It’s just a way for the club to make more money off of the families that are already shelling out $$$ to play.

Be careful taking a D to scorpions as they don’t pay their coaches.
