Well, that is certainly different levels of play. Makes me sorry I didn't see the game. Would have liked to see if Blue actually tried to possess and build, or if they were simply pummeled into kick and chase.

Those teams will both look very different in a few years. Just talk to parents of older Stars ECNL players.

This is known. 5 or so players from the top of the rosters at NEFC and SSS will be recruited. Maybe a unicorn from DPL/NPL too. The rest will be some combination of existing Blue and White players. Just ask the 07 team.

The OP would be better served going to practices at Blue and White ECNL teams as well as NEFC and SSS GA teams. Get an offer from any of those four and your kid will develop properly over the next 2-3 years. Worry about the ECNL badge at U15 if you must Run away from Scorpions.

Thank you, development is all that matters at this point. With certain clubs development is not a focus for the younger ages. Certinaly ENCLR is an option for now. Looking for what's best long term and for the best coaches to develop the player short term

Attend practices. Don’t wait for “tryouts”. ECNL teams will be done before that.

Here is the truth - If your kid isn't a top pre-GA player right now, it's already too late to try to join a Stars national team.

Only Stars White, Stars Blue, SSS, and NEFC actually teach the game of soccer. If your kid has spent the last year on a kick and chase team, she's already too far behind.

Stars will only cut a currently rostered player for a clear upgrade who fits perfectly into their style of play. They will invite you to practice, and then offer you a regional spot.
