Clubs to Avoid and Reasons why

What are certain clubs that you'd advice folks of avoiding and reasons why

Because there aren't enough club bashing threads here, let's have another!

He's right. This is another pointless thread. If you are bored, go do something else... read a book, watch a movie, etc.

Cocoanut Grove in 1942, even though it’s lit. Or, because it’s lit. Whatever.

Nope just a parent poster who finds the constant club bashing tiresome and not helpful. Anyone relying heavily on information from this anonymous site should have their head examined. Except for an occasional bit of information on leagues etc it's mostly entertainment

Here’s some: Rory Dames, Paul Riley and anybody that worked with or for them

Nope, I came here to find out which is the best 2007 team. I can't seem to get a straight answer. Yes Yes, I checked the 2007 thread, but the list keeps changing, even on the same day. Very confusing!

Like the poster said, this site is not a reliable source of information especially when it comes to specific clubs or coaches. Lots of personal agendas out there hiding behind keyboards. Ask people in real life. Most likely you know someone who knows someone.

Besides, no matter what the better teams may be that doesn't mean they're a good fit for your player.

But we need to know who the best '07 team is, over one thousand replies and counting. Talk about a useless endeavor

I do find the benefit in knowing about clubs, there are so many and most players from a town gravitate to the same club. If I wanted that I'd play town travel. Hearing about the positives and negatives of a club is beneficial. Some get their panties in a bunch and freak out

I agree with above - I'd rather talk to real people with actual experience at clubs. Annually, like the great migration north, clubs and leagues start to trash each other as it moves into spring. It gets absurd really. It's not that hard to find people who have been at clubs in your area. Besides, none of it matters if the club isn't a good ffit for your player. Gather some info then ask to attend practices. Go watch games when the season starts. See where is a good place for them, not what the TS crowd crowns the winner

As for the 07 thread, well that's a great example of why not to rely too much on this site for good information lol. The occasional bits of helpful/valid information by some experienced posters gets drowned out by the 07 crazies.

All club soccer experiences differ. Doesn’t matter what club it is.

find a team your kid bonds well with and a coach who cares about them, important to know your coach doesn’t hop from one club to the next.

finding the right fit is very hard, when you find it stick with it

^ this. Don't chase rankings or league patches. What works well for one player won't for the next so find what works for your kid. If you have multiple kids playing that may mean different clubs also. A logistical headache but each player is different.

My current kid's coach moves club about every 3 years... would you call him a club hopper? I mean, these days the average stay of a coach in the Premier League is less than 2 years.
