What happened to Stars?

Like the title says, what the heck happened to Stars? Riding high for a while, but now just about gone. Is it internal problems, lack of coaching or what?

Is it just that MPS and NEFC have gotten that much better? I don't understand what happened.

Not looking for a fight, just wondering.

None of their top teams on the girls side are playing state cup.

What are you talking about? And what are you looking at that makes you think Stars are gone? My daughter plays for NEFC and always looks forward to match vs Stars as being about the only competitive match in her age group. I do not think there is a huge gap between Stars and NEFC, and really comes down to each age group to see which side has stronger team. At younger ages, the teams are trading victories year by year...at older ages MPS is coming off a strong year. But Stars are still very present.

Remains to be seen if ECNL offer them what they hope, but that too may vary between age groups. That said, it would be nice to see more matchups between these three (really four as Scorpions are rightin mix as wel) clubs.

Another reason you can't trust TS - one person for a club can promote a club by polluting so many TS threads at once. Dear MPS person, go back to your hole. You are two levels behind Stars and Scorps and one behind NEFC on the girls side. Nice job trying to equate yourself with the best teams. On the boys side you are practically irrelevant. Give it a rest!

I call BS on this post. You're either trying to start another ECNL v. non-ECNL debate, which has already been discussed about 500 times on this board. Or, more likely, you're promoting some agenda for MPS or NEFC.

The short answer to your question, which I doubt is legitimate, is Stars and Scorpions now have their best teams in a national league (Elite Clubs National League) and, as a result, they don't play state cup.
