There are no other leagues that REQUIRE that kind of travel, however there are many teams that REQUIRE that kind of travel. Pretty much every top team pre-ECNL had a harder travel schedule.

Not to mention there isn't a single team that is required to travel to all 5 of those places. u16s and u17 have the most travel with 3 long distance travel events. Other teams even fewer.
The irony of course is that someone is trying to put you on the defensive and justify something you have no need to justify who spends 3x what you spend.

The mistake many of us keep making is that truthfulness will eventually matter in any of these discussions. What we write, no matter how carefully and fairly prepared, and with or without data, is never going to matter. Truth, logic, consistency, etc are COMPLETELY irrelevant when someone has decided long ago that they have a mission and a strategy and that nothing will deter them in that effort. The particular manifestation exhibited here over the past half-decade really is one of the most remarkable and sustained efforts imaginable, especially given that there is zero rational need for it and is driven entirely by resentment and bitterness.

Until the ECNL has a mechanism for culling the underperforming clubs, it will lose some of its draw. The Stars clearly belong in ECNL. They are successful at most age groups. The Scorpions have slipped in quality from the Mewis/Meehan days and no longer seem to belong.

Your brilliant analysis is going to waste here. Really should send it direct to CL at the league office.

Someone clearly hasn't been paying attention, if that unqualified claim is supposed to be sincere.

What that means is there isn't a slew of impact players looming on the horizon to bail their teams out and so they are going to continue to be what they currently are.
That's mostly all that needs to be said. Still, with enough effort and luck, the local ECNL clubs might shake loose a few non-impact players from top teams that are non-ECNL.

Right, because nobody every tried out from outside the club before the ECNL.

Interesting that the only score reported for Stars vs Scorps play yesterday is at the U15 level and it was a tie. Perhaps the other Scorps team managers don't want to report the losses.

perspective, lay off the guy a little will ya. He's got no influence, at least not anymore. Let him hold onto a couple of his delusions. You're gonna make the guy have a nervous breakdown or implode for goshsakes.

So now all of the team managers are conspiring to delay posting scores so you don't know the results? Aside from the fact that if you needed to know, you would know, perhaps it's time for you to get a new tin foil hat since your current one seems to be getting a little too tight.

This is very funny. [You mean like #11 in the Propaganda (I mean Propoganda thread)?] Amidst a sea of people posting anonymously, I'm the one signing in and have done so religiously ever since one of the screen names (who rarely if ever appears as registered) challenged me to sign in I think sometime last summer. A fan base is not one of my interests. Now, if you want to talk about the multitude of very creative tactics that others DO use on this site, well, then, let's go....
