    [b]Top Drawer Star Ratings[b]

5 - Stars - Best of the Best - A player who ranks in the highest percentile of his peers and is coveted by coaches and scouts, pro and college alike. Such a player has command of the technical, tactical, mental and physical elements of the game, including the emotional maturity to handle success and be a good team member. These players also possess all the intangibles that make them the best of the best.

4 - Stars - Very Strong - Some of the strongest players who are always among the most exceptional footballers on the field. These players may be progressing toward a 5-star designation, and are still attracting a lot of attention for their considerable abilities on the field. 4-star players are still major difference-makers on the pitch.

3 - Stars - Strong - Very good players who, while not as talented as their 4 and 5-star teammates, can make a difference in a match and tend to stand out on the field These players may be less developed in one of the 4 key areas (technical, tactical, physical, mental) however they will still be fairly strong in most of them.

2 - Star - Good - Talented players who need further development in key areas of the game. 2-star players are often those who are still defining their game. These players can still fulfill specific needs for a team and help provide the glue that every team needs. A 2-star players needs to be scouted further by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

1 - Star - Fair - These players are often just beginning to make their mark. A 1-star player has unrealized potential still being tapped into that could lead to good things down the line. These players may still have a valuable role, both as a developing player and as an established team member. A 1-star players needs to scouted further by TopDrawerSoccer.com

    Comment

By looking at the Stars U18 ECNL GotSoccer History the team participated in approximately 37 events (tournaments, championships, state cups etc) beyond league games. At leaset 11 of those events would have required a flight, rental car, and hotel. Another 15 were drivable but would have required hotel stays. Put your own travel cost estimates in.

Probably safe to assume that only the 4 star players got any decent money and the not rated or 0 star players are probably walk ons.

But then again, there were not has many teams calling themselves Premier.See the scam yet?
Where's the scam. People are buying a service that includes more than what you got.

Your experience is still available for a very similar price. Not sure why you don't want people to have the option of payIn more for a bigger experience.

What you are implying is that only 3 out of the 50 players got any significant athletic money. My travel budget for the ECNL team came out to close to $25K and only 3 kids cashed in. That IS a scam.

Also safe to assume that Stars (and Scorps) destroyed your club on college commitments....the real reason btdt doesn't want you considering college results as a legit factor, even though 99% of the folks on this board are ONLY interested in a chance at college soccer.

              Let's review...from Stars and Scorps...

Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, UCLA, BC (multiple), Notre Dame, Maryland (multiple), Penn State, Villanova (multiple), Georgetown (multiple), Holy Cross, Elon, Fairfield (multiple), UConn (multiple), UMass (multiple), UNH (multiple), BU (multiple), Lafayette, Colgate (multiple), Northeastern (multiple), Lehigh (multiple), William and Mary, Delaware, Duke, Providence (multiple), Michigan State, Northwestern, UNC, Colorado, St Johns, Monmouth, Quinnipiac, Bryant (multiple), Ohio U, Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Johns Hopkins, Vassar, Hamilton, Bates, Colby, Chicago, Emory, Tufts, Union, St Rose (multiple), St Anselm, SNHU, Merrimack.......

Which one? There have been about 5.

And I bet the Scorps Yale player and her family could care less about the athletic scholarship. Doubt that feel scammed. Ivy League Rookie of the Year and just had 7 goals in 4 days at Region 1 tournament.

Shouldn't let real facts ruin a perfectly rediculous sales pitch. Maybe they will go on now and tell everyone that it was all about the education and the $50K they spent of they kid's youth soccer career was just for character building.

You guys, and especially the one guy, are making a huge mistake here, because the deeper you dig the more you prove the superiority of the two clubs being targeted. The data don't lie. So just keep going. This is quite entertaining.

Bet is wasn't soccer that got that kid into Yale but let's not ruin the delusion.

What is being proved, that you can spend tens of thousands of dollars and it not really mean anything?

Interesting how you idiots can pick out one little morsel out of a whole set of data to try to come to a grossly distorted conclusion. The trouble is that everyone else reading is just seeing over and over how much incredible success these clubs have had.

I tell you what. Why don't you comb through all 100 or so of these commitments and come back and tell us which ones you think "count" for something and which ones don't. Can't wait! And don't forget to provide your club's list.
