so clueless. WIth Shalrie on the field, you get the style he plays. Take him off and you get a different team, and if the new mid is any good, he's going to make a lot of things happen with the other players that Shalrie isn't making happen. This isn't about Shalrie being a shining light. Its about a worn out style and worn out old player who in any other sport would have hung up the cleats a few years ago. Watching Shalrie and Reis (and some of the rest) reminds me of a over-40 adult rec league.

Finally someone else who sees what I see. Shalrie was my favorite player but his time is over. He's on the team to sell tickets and it is hurting them in the W-L area.

The team is missing Steve Ralston in the midfield. Ralston was probably one of the most underrated players in the MLS. Shalrie was the brawn of the midfield, Ralston was the brains.

Sunday's win puts the Revs at 5-7-1 and jumped them from being tied for the fifth-worst record out of the league’s 19 teams back into the middle of the pack.

Yep - not a great record...but when you consider that they had 5 wins ALL OF LAST SEASON and didn't get their 5th win until September, they are moving in the right direction.

His name is SHALRIE JOSEPH and he is the best midfielder the MLS has ever seen. Matt Reis is as good a goalkeeper as any the MLS has ever seen and the game you (saw????...did you see it?) was a great game. Further, the Revs play more possesion then most any MLS team, get a clue or shut up!@!!!!
Other than a spelling mistake I got it right, back to soccer school for you.

While he has slipped a little, it's not due to age or fitness but personal issues. He is still one of the main forces behind this team succeeding; they depend on him and for the most part, he has delivered.
Another with no clue, back to school for you also.

proof will be in the pudding. Lets see if Blair Gavin has any more impact that Shalrie did. My guess is it will be more of the same results-wise.

Blair Gavin will be lucky to see the field, Shalrie was moved for players we already had to play.

He has become an angry player. The game we went to see he should had been red carded for trying to start fights. He seems very disgruntle and it shows in the way he plays. I think the change will be good for him and the Revs.

Got this right, at least as far as Heaps is concerned. Now if you bozos on TS could listen on other topics, soccer would make some progress here.

typical specious analysis. a different team does not mean a better team. bg is not a playmaker. Revs mgmt got it wrong this time. should have given him until the end of the season when he would have retired as a rev cause this change is not going to change this seasons results much.

MLS is a joke... Any top players (names) from Europe plays from LA or NY. The Revs will never get the kraft family to invest. It's a tax write off... MLS is a starting point to show off players to other leagues around the world.
