HOW CAN WE DEVELOP KIDS TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE COMPETIVITLY I

Here is the list of national championships that were won regionally and by State. How can we develop kids to be able to complete captivity in our region and nationally? Maryland has a population of 5,618,344 whereas MA has 6,449,755. It seems that MA is more cerebral about soccer on Talk-soccer.com with by far the most posting than any other State 54140.

Re: Change the format of MAPLE at U10, U11 &U12

MAPLE league should treat U10 to U12 as informal scrimmages and change their format to small sided (U10 5v5, U11 6v6, U12 8v8)and smaller fields.

I wouldnt give us that much credit. I'll bet if you were able to classify posts as productive and non productive our numbers would shrink significantly.

"A development program plays the kids who have the highest future potential, assuming that they have good practice habits. A winning program plays the kids who have the highest ability to win games this year."

What is Maryland doing differently than MA to develop players to win 18 national championships? Does anyone know?

Maryland draws from a wide area with a big population around DC. And there are FAR fewer clubs so the talent is less dispursed to a few very comptitive teams.

Maryland's success has dropped off in recent years as Massachussetts succcess has risen.

Parents are far less concerned about little Johnny or little ******** having their feelings hurt if they don't get picked to play in a game, receive a trophy for participation, or get selected for some fraudalent honor.

Mass already is based on these 2008 numbers of how they compare to other state associations in Region I. States that had previously been near the top in the past (Virginia, Maryland, NY East) have slipped in the Region as Mass has risen.
