You can only play the teams on your schedule---the division is the division---better to make the playoffs than not.

3 out of 4 teams made the play offs. not bad for mass.
tough draw for all 3 teams

Its the playoffs. Every team in the playoffs has a tough draw. Some a bit harder than others. The Revs 18s look like they got the toughest draw of the local teams. Advancing out of their bracket looks unlikely, but you never know.

The Revs 16s drew 2 wildcard teams, but also drew one of the top teams. The Dallas Texans have 3 players with more goals than the Revs top scorer. If they want to advance out of their bracket, they need to take care of business in the first 2 games.

The Bolts 16s look to have a bit tougher draw the the Revs 16s. In order to advance, their defense it going to have to shine. Not sure if they have enough offense otherwise. Their opponents look like they have very tough defenses.

On this site I have read so much about how weak the Northeast division is and that the Revs and Bolts teams, along with Massachusetts do not compare to the rest of the country. To these statements, I ask; so what??
Do you think that the Massachusetts players will be suddenly so much better if they lived elsewhere? Probably not. The goal for each individual player is not to win the world title. it would be nice but for each kid it is not the goal.

The goal is to develop into the best soccer player that you can be. This is, in large part, the result of training, and another part the competition. Both are great with the DAP. Getting the best competition when you can certainly a goal. Advancing out of your division to play the other top two finishers plus wild cards is great. It is the chance to see even better competition and play at a higher level.

While making out of the bracket play would be an accomplishment, it is not a necessity.
