OTE=Unregistered;735370]Looks like the Bolts 18s did stop allowing goals - but also stopped scoring. Nil-nil vs Delco (1.83 points per game) dropping their PPG to 1.38. Revs beat Classics (1.58) 3-2 with a late goal to get their PPG to 2.00, first in the division, just ahead of Empire (1.92) who beat Match Fit and are actually five points ahead of NER (having played 3 more games because of the Revs African excursion.

Yesterday's sixteens games not posted yet. Good luck to all![/QUOTE]

The Bolts and Revs U16s seem to be pretty even and I think it will be a great match between them.

Actually, I think you have it backwards. The 18s seem to be pretty even, but the U16 Bolts are definitely overmatched.

Maybe so but both teams from both clubs need to focus on the coming weekend, they have to face PDA and Red Bull - 1,2 in their division with PPG well over 2. And big + goal diffs.

              Good luck boys!

Here in lie the next question......
                Why??
Why are the teams considered even? If the Revs, who are free, get all the top talent, then does that mean that the Bolts train the players better?
The Revs U16 are not that far ahead of the Bolts U16. In fact, the Bolts U16 faired better than the Revs U16. If the, as you say, 'the U16 Bolts are definitely overmatched', then does that mean that the coaching is better for the Bolts???

I know this is not PC to write or I know that I will get killed, but

Are both teams simply mediocre...talent makes bad coaches look good. Just as well as lack of high end talent can make very good coaches look mediocre.

How can you say the U16 Bolts are definitely overmatched? Looked at results from this past weekend, Bolts go 1 win and 1 tie and U16's Revs go 1 win and 1 loss against the same exact competition. I'm not saying the Bolts are better because on paper you have to give that to the Revs. But the results show that they are pretty evenly matched teams, both being pretty good.

I'm looking at the entire season thus far. That being said, I think the Bolts are better organized and more tactically sound. Only time will tell...

Just noticed that the Bolts changed game location for PDA and Red Bulls games. Now playing on grass instead of turf. Perhaps a little gamesmanship to try to slow down the high powered competition? PDA and Red Bulls are the best DAP teams in the East Conference. Will be a great test for both Revs and Bolts teams.

Great imagination on your part. Games were originally at Harvard, but due to some events taking place there this weekend a change of venue took place.

Why do you consider it a great imagination on my part? The vast majority of DAP games are played on turf fields, not grass. I guess all the turf fields are booked this weekend. Ya right.

You must be a Bolts parent to take my comment as an insult. It was not. I would consider an intentional switch to grass to be a brilliant move by the club to try to slow down the attack. If you are a Bolts parent, enjoy the games. You are going to see 2 relentless attacks.

Booking a turf field is not that easy. Citizens often books the Bolts pre-DAP team for turf fields and switches it to grass at the last minute. Also, Bolts typically do not play well on grass.
