Actually, I don't know if I read the same article but I thought he was fine and not over the top about his daughter. Also, he acknowledged the other players but I think you have to take it all with a grain of salt. Who knows what else he may of said that is not in the article. Get off his case.

With all the hoopla about the Bay State Conf, I'm curious about the relative strength of the Bay State Conf compared to other conferences? I see that Wellesley is currently in 2nd place but was tied by Wayland (a D2 team that is middle of the pack in the DCL Small and very well may miss the tournament). Other examples with conferences outside the Bay State?

Actually Natick is in first place in the herget. I know they beat Plymouth North this year. Newton North just beat Newton South. Weymouth is in first in the Carey. They got trounced by W-H but then came back last weekend and tied them.

I would say it's tough to tell. I think it might be a down year for the bay state league. Plymouth North, Wayland, and Newton South aren't exactly elite teams but they went 2-0-1. Weymouth deserves some credit for playing W-H twice every year on top of a usually tough league schedule. However, they went 0-1-1 against an elite team.

Traditionally, the Bay State has been the state's best girls soccer league. There have been some weaker teams, but typically there have been more stronger programs than any other conference. That does not seem to be the case this year. Call it more parity or a watering down of talent, but the traditional powers of Framingham, Weymouth and Newtn North just don't seem as strong. That being siad, I would say that it is as good a league - overall as the Middlesex and DCL. Remember that mid-level teams (Bedford, Weston and Wayland) have also had some success this year against their top intra-conference rivals - so I think you see greater parity everywhere.

I agree with hs harry. The bay state league seems a little down this year. They are still going to get at least six teams in the tournament it looks like so it will be interesting to see how they do going forward. I think Weymouth and Natick will have the most success in the post-season.

Maybe this will change your mind?
