    Shut up

UOTE=Unregistered;682246]What this post says X 10. The physicality and speed gap will grow exponentially going forward. These girls are great, for girls, please keep that in mind. They are 2 years away from struggling against a club's 3rd team on the boys side.

Frankly, they may struggle against the Galway team.[/QUOTE]

Blazer is going to killllllllllllll all the teamS

Parents of female soccer players are delusional. The boys team would make them look like chumps.

Girls develop faster than boys, and in many cases some of the girls playing for Stars/NEFC are bigger, stronger, faster than the boys.

        No, not all, but enough.

I'd agree that the Blazers would put a few by the girls, but there's no doubt that either could hang in and compete with them. The difference would be the aggressiveness in key areas. Blazers would score where the girls would not. It would be a 3-5 goal game because of that.

But the girls would certainly do fine against the lower half of blue, and no doubt the bottom division boys teams would have trouble beating the girls.

If you don't believe me, just go to a boys and girls game at this level, you'll be shocked at how much bigger the girls are overall.

If this was a U13/U14 division, I'd have a very different opinion, but it's not.

Last winter a Stars U12 girls teams played in the U12 boys league at Acton Teamworks (indoor, 6 v 6). Someone who remembers better may be able to give more specifics, but I remember that they had a great playoff game against the Stars boys team, losing in a shootout. They also lost on a last minute goal (maybe 4-3) to a mixed ACA team (made up of players from different ACA teams -- my son played with ACA then). The ACA team always enjoyed rooting for the girls and they definately won some games against boys teams, though I can not speak to the quality.

The Stars girls generally had a size advantage and were very disciplined re passing (over-lapping, back-passing, 1-2's). Also, in many instances, the Stars girls were MORE aggressive than the boys. These factors made them competitive. Though there were a couple of girls with very strong shots, the boys seemed to have more strength-of-shot across the board. Some of the other aspects of indiir play may have helped the girls (more contained, only 6 players on the field), but it suggested to me tht the girls would at least give Maple green a run for th money.

Confused bunch of folks in Mass

"Maple is the epitome of soccer excellence.....(travel 80 miles each way max)"
"NEP is the new Maple...(travel 200 miles max)"
"If you really want competition you've got to go to Region 1....(Travel 400 miles max each way)"
What's next the Eurpeon Premier League....(Frequent Flyer miles???)

baaahaaaaa!!! Frequent Flyer/travel points is not a bad idea but only issue them to the parents who always step up and take half the team in their vehicle to the games and practices.

                  Revolution needed

Forget all this initerations of Premier leagues in Mass (how many are there now) and go back to Town soccer.

I was under the impression that maybe it was a T-S discussion, but the league was going to handle it. It seems like this is causing an actual hold up at this point. Since it seems like the posters here may actually have some valid info, any idea of when this might be resolved?
Look again, the GU12 division has been resolved and has been posted.

Looks pretty fair. Galway got promoted and the bottom half gets relegated. Should be fairly competitive bracket.

                        Huh.

I didn't realize anyone still played Maple.

Right now it doesn't look like there is a mass exodus of Clubs to NEP that many suggested would occur for spring 2012. Stars, Scorps and NEFC still appear to be maintaining a presence.

Huh, then try prying your head out of your fast talkin' coach's rectum......

At the very least, the fresh air might do you some good.

Check back in June, you'll see 2 teams that were considerably better than the others, a reall wake up call for the teams in MAPLE.

There are going to be some lopsided games for sure.

Crusaders don't have enough talent to compete.
Fuller Hamlets is decent when they get their players behind the ball, but the play kick-ball too often.
Galway are out of their league.
NEFC BB is the team to beat and I think they'll beat Stars 4-2.
North Shore is big and physical, and will be competitive, but don't have the depth that the top three clubs have.
SS Select will be competitive, but they have lost too many talented players, and you can expect that to continue after the spring season
Stars C will do okay, but they are nowhere near as talented as the top 3 teams
Stars D will be vying for top spot, but will fall short. Still a very talented team.

Should be a fun season, especially when playoffs begin.
