OK folks, here we go. This years State Championship.

That's 4 championships from West/Central Mass. Two from the east, both girls. This seems pretty reflective of what has occurred in recent history even though East schools are usually bigger schools. So why is this? Is it simply the fact that East schools tend to play more post season games?

Actually recent history tends to favor the East. MIAA only goes back to 2007. Don't know if it's any different before that.

The list is defintely not 100% accurate. Weymouth was the sole state champ in 1996. Ludlow won this year. Not sure if they won baqck to back in 1999 and 2000 either.
