O.k., so let's use this logic...If you want to get into a good school based on academics alone, do you take AP courses which may make you work harder, or do you just stay in the class where you would get the easy A?
And by the way, it is not over when these kids get these commitments. They then have to work for their spots whether it is D1,2 or 3 when they step on that practice field as freshmen.

As it has been stated before, the speed of play increases with each level. It's the big fish, small pond scenario. Learn to swim in the big pond and you stand to come out stronger.
Please, don't start the whole DAP is the key to success argument again. Don't want to have to embarrass you with actual data.

        t
Don't need data. Just go have a conversation with any college coach and you will get your answer.

I doubt there''s many college coaches who give play time based on what a kid did in high school or club. It's going to be a judgement of what he sees on the field with his own eyes. You are what you are, not a piece of paper.

Bolts U18 win 6-1 against Cosmos. Six goals by six different players.

um, may be you should do yours. The freshman that was tied for the most goals (8) is from Calif and went to HS in Mass. There is no mention that he played for a DAP team is his bio. The 2 other freshman that played for FCGB got hardley any playing time.

That is impressive !! Good to see that the demise of the
Bolts DAP seems to have been a little premature.

                  ....
However, Bolts PreAcademy 1997 lost 5-1 against Cosmos.

The Bolts are overall a very good club, but their current 1997 and 1998 teams are, and are going to be weak teams without some decent turnover of players.

They should add some inner city kids with heart and maybe change over the coaching staff too.

How did the 1998s and 1996s do?

DM-M played for FCGB U18 Academy team last year. You are correct that he is from Calif and went to NMH. His bio might not mention it, but he played. US Soccer Academy website has the facts right even if you dont. ummmmmm

Different poster. So what you are saying is that he is a California kid who senior year or PG year hooked on with the Bolts.

not a bolts hater, and i dont have time to check your post so I'll assume it to be correct.
So, BC has 3 Bolts and I think PC has 3. 1 player from BC and 2 from PC had significant playing time while the others none. 50% is not that high

Scholarships aside, since they are binding contracts.....Here is the really big question....assuming that none of these received scholarships, is it better to sit on the bench (or get very little play time) at a Divsion 1 school or is it better to get a lot of playtime at a Division II or III school? Afterall, in four years time, they are all going to need to find a job somewhere. It really comes down to whether or not it is better to play or not.

Both Revs teams defeated MetOval yesterday. So a winning first day of the season for both Mass. DAP clubs.
