    Worst U13 Parents-Power Rankings

After digesting the enormous volumes of material on the board, the rankings are ready for the worst U13 parents. Regular misguided posts and absurdity is the criteria. Choosing between 1 and 2 was virtually impossible but the westerners have been quiet so the Explosionites get the bid.

    1. Explosion
    2. Western
    3. BWRI
    4. Stars
    5. Scorpians
    6. Bolts
    7. Puma
    8. Granite
    9. Rays

Congratulations to our top 5 and keep up the bad work !

Explosion might have the worst parent group in history as far as your criteria, but Western United might have the whiniest!

Of the number of parents who attend this forum, Id say it's Explosion and Western by a long shot, so of course they dominate the conversation, but I think in general this is a Stars/Bolts/MPS board, and people from the metrowest suburbs of Boston. Because there is so much stirring of crap overall, a lot of it must be started by anonymous members of those clubs. The serious we are the best, you are the worst, my kid doesn't play enough posts are Explosion/Western, then maybe Blackwatch, but the rest of the posts that fill up those threads are the not serious trying to pi$$ somebody off posts, and those have to be Stars/Bolts/MPS.

MPS would be tops in an inferiority rankings.

And that is exactly why this forum is idiotic. why post something as silly as that clear insult and attempt to get an equally idiotic retort? btw - no inferiority complex at MPS, just amusement about how people like you want to knoock a good club that's eating your lunch. How about posting something valuable next time - like your opinion about the quality of soccer in MA and NE vs the rest of the country?

I dont eat lunch. Please explain what that means "eating your lunch." What is the criteria for eating one's lunch? Can you lose and eat one's lunch? Was MPS eating lunches at Stars tournament? I dont reacall them eating alot of lunches there. Please explain who's lunch was eaten and when.

Dont get offeneded by the MPS people. If they are happy being a mediocre team then they should be allowed to feel that way. they know the truth is when they compete at state cup they generally do not perform very well against the elite of Massachusetts. MPS is a business that has soccer as a secondary goal. The goal of the people in charge there is to make money and develop some very strong players. How many other clubs in the area have office staffs? The problem is they field very few strong teams overall. Stars and Scorpions on the girls along with Bolts on the boys side are the class and generally are the ones "eating everyone's lunch".

                  Re: Worst U13 Parents-Power Rankings

There you go, you silly young U13 MAPLE parents. Both U13 and U14 MPS Renegades girls teams made it to finals last year in state cup. Neither Stars or Scorpions can say that! Yes Scorpions won State Cup U13 and Stars won U14. Both MPS teams are seeded #2 in this year's U14 and U15 State Cup Tournament and don't play until Round Robin in June. But NEITHER of the Stars or Scorpions had two finalists like MPS did! So may be you should check facts before you spout off.

As to Stars Labor Day Tournament - wow, MPS U13 girls team did not make it to the finals there - not even sure how they did frankly (sorry I did not look it up). But let's see, they had two practices before the tournament after being put together as a team for the first time that week! That's right - they never played together or practiced together before that weekend! And they played teams that had been together since what, U11? that's third year teams vs a team that was ONE WEEK OLD. That really tells you a lot about a team, doesn't it? And, let's see, since then they've won 3 state cup Challenge games..... Ok, not against D1 teams yet, but they beat two solid D2 teams, including the Eagles. Their next game is against Western United in May, who is a solid D1 team.

So, maybe you ought to learn something about MPS teams before you spout off about mediocraty. Stars, Scorpions and MPS are the class of MA. MPS keeps building their program up and other than the Stars and Scorpions there is no other club that has anywhere near the success MPS' girls does. You don't see them week-in-week-out cause they don't play MAPLE. So look up their record and their trend over the past few years so you can actually know something.

Though Bolts are far more dominating on the boys side at the younger ages, MPS Bulldogs are starting to get a lot closer as well. U14 boys are #3 in state Cup seeding through Round Robin and U13's have won their first three challenge games as well (also a new team in August). And btw neither Stars nor Scorpions have had success on the boys side. Neither of them having a U13 or U14 team in the round robin yet (ie seeded 1-4). And ONLY Bolts have a team at both U13 and U14 in the Round robin already).

                    Re: Worst U13 Parents-Power Rankings

Great post, very accurate. One correction, the MPS U13 team did make it to the finals at the Stars tournament, losing to Blackwatch, in a very tight game, 1-0 the goal was scored in OT.

I'm pretty sure you're distorting the facts. I know for a fact that most of the current u13 MPS team did play in several tournaments as u12's. Yes there are some new players, but other teams also had new players on their roster. "Only 1 week old"!, that's a bit of an exaggeration!

Responding to a put down is inferiority complex? That's really impressive logic.

Speaking of checking facts. If you win doesn't that make you a finalist ? Stars won U14, U16 and were finalist at U17
Scorpions Won U13, U15 and U19 that makes three each.

Talk about inferiority complex..... no one said Stars and Scorpions were not good or had not won. The poster responded to a slight about MPS and responded with facts about U13 and U14 teams. There was no comment negative about Stars or Scorpions, just a point that MPS at these early ages is now at a level consistent with those two clubs. In fact the poster noted that stars and Scorpions had each one win at these ages, but only MPS has two finalists at these ages. That is a complement to all three clubs the way I read it.
