All students have to be able to do the work and have to be good students through high school....There are a # of players who do get in for academics, more than you realize, soccer has probalbly 5-6 a year the coach can put a good word for (nothing assured), football more maybe 15-20....Financially it is blind everyone on a level playing field artists, gifted etc....diadvantaged youth on a different path...

Junot has no idea what he is doing. He keeps the most experienced players on the bench since the first few losses. Probably he has decided that the season has gone south already and he will just work on the future of the team, but it is demoralizing to not giving any playing time to very good and seasoned seniors and at the same time loosing all the games. I think Harvard looks ahead of bad things to come even with a very good bunch of players if they keep this coach.

There is a big difference: Harvard's Women Soccer team wins the Ivy this year, Harvard's Men are the bottom of Ivy, winless in the League. This is happening when many of the players who played 2 and 3 years ago in the Harvard Mens Soccer team which won the championship are sitting on the bench watching how the team is loosing game after game...
