1. The Bolts U10B were very disorganized....with a couple of players who were completely lost and lacking in skill and knowledge of soccer. I don't know how they got on to that team. There were 12 kids on the team and subbed in shifts.....in the true NEP format. However, keep in mind that this is the first week of the season. With that said, there were other U10B teams that looked as good or better then Western United.
2. The NEP U10 games and teams are also significantly better than last year with the influx of the new clubs. It will be interesting to see how the Bolts are able to perform.
3. The Bolts organization, as a whole has changed dramatically since the Kerr family left and the DAP became a reality.
a. On the boys side there is 1 U10, 2 U11, 2 U12, 1 U13, and 1 U14 team. In addition, there is a U13 and a U14 PreAcademy team. This is a greater number of payers...I mean players than they have had before.
b. The competition in the NEP league is now 'Real' and will compare similarly to MAPLE
c. The competition in the PreAcademy leagues is 'Real' and two levels above MAPLE and at least 1 above region 1.
4. There seems to be a growing emphasis on the Academy teams while the others can be feeders or for those who won't want to play 10 month seasons as I am told that the Academy teams have the lowest yearly fees in the club.
The questions remaining
What will happen to this U10 team if they keep getting squashed?
Will the Bolts be able to maintain their non Academy teams and even the second teams in the boys divisions?
Will the Bolts become stronger as the DAP goes to 10 month seasons or will parents realize that their little boys are not going to be committing to a 10 month soccer season....so why play for the Bolts at the younger ages??
Don't know about this game or team, specifically, but the Bolts have excellent coaching and are a very good boys' club. They will figure this out. It's a bit early to be dancing on their grave.

I can assure you that there is enough talent on this team that with some more practices (they have had three so far) they will produce better results. Either way, when the big picture is seen, the results of these games do not reflect the overall quality of the Bolts program.

"Either way, when the big picture is seen, the results of these games do not reflect the overall quality of the Bolts program."
What do you exactly mean by this? If the program is as good as you say, why is it that the output is not reflecting it?
And please, I do not have an agenda, I'm really wondering what the best options out there are.
Perhaps the coaching is great but not all of the players are at the same level? or?

Holy crap! These are U10s. The bigger issues is what will they being doing at U16?
So looking at this game, and I was not there, I'd have to ask why WU won. I'm going to guess size and speed may have been a factor and it may have only been one kids with size ad speed determining the outcome.

It's a single game, by a U10 team that has practiced three times. Too soon to say anything meaningful about the players or the coaching. It would be like judging the Patriots based on the outcome of the first three or four plays in a preseason game.

you can't be that dense. I assume that you could understand the concept that one blowout game in the youngest age group after three practices does not reflect the quality of an entire club....Bolts or any other.
They lost because the other team was better. A big difference between the two teams was the lack or field organization on the part of the Bolts....something that should improve with time and more practices.
