Do any of the girls on both teams know each other since both teams are from metrowest? Not good when parents start this stuff with my team beat yours and by the way, we beat you 5 months ago. Come on, they are 11-12yr old girls and they probably know each other and are friendly.

Just curious...are Scorps east and west merging at u13 to form their pre ecnl or like this year they'll remain separate and the better of the two will play encl.

Yes, the girls know each other in school and around town. In the case of my daughter, the only thing i ever hear is, if they lose to somebody, "I really want to play them again". They don't (from what i hear) get into the trash-talking that goes on, on this website.

Seriously? I didn't see Nick on the field? This was definitely not a win I would attribute to coaching. This was another good close soccer game between these teams. NEFC deserved to win, however for the third straight game it was either a one goal game or a tie between these 2. I am not sure what would motivate anyone to denigrate the efforts of both these teams by such an asinine comment like this? Not surprised however because the parents of NEFC were the most obnoxious I have seen in a long time. You should be proud of your girls, they played well. After that display I am not sure they should be proud of you.

It's a fact. There will be a neutral practice location.

Right now both teams practice together on alternate days with each travelling to the other's home location.

As for coaching, when your team is down 1-0 at the half, you need to make adjustments, so it would appear that the coach made necessary changes to outscore their opponent to win the game. What more would you be looking for from the coach?

As for coaching, when your team is down 1-0 at the half, you need to make adjustments, so it would appear that the coach made necessary changes to outscore their opponent to win the game. If you weren't at the game your opinion is worth nothing. What I witnessed was NEFC accusing the ref of calling the game in a certain way because he had money on the game. That's just plain stupid. And again you aren't giving your daughters credit.the 2 goals were fine plays they made. Other than that tactically NEFC didn't posses the ball, they just kicked over the top and hoped their fast and talented striker beat the defense. She didn't on those type of plays, but she did score by fighting hard in the box and winning a ball for a score. No credit goes to the coach for that.

One comment here. I was at the game. If you were watching close enough you would have noticed a couple things. First, the scorpions started the 2nd half playing a girl down as somebody forgot to go onto the field. would this have changed that quick goal in the 2nd half? I dont' know. the girl quietly slid on the field after the goal. Not sure if the Scorpions coach noticed that or not. The 2nd thing you might not have noticed was a definate coaching move. NEFC played only 2 defenders the 2nd half and 5 girls up to try and put pressure on and get that 2nd goal. After scoring the 2nd goal they went back to 3 defenders. this was a definate change that you have to give credit to the coach. Don't worry about stopping the scorpions from scoring and throw the kitchen sink at them in an effort to score. the scorps defense was very good all night.

Nice job. Thanks for the post Nick. So it must have been your parents complaining about Scorps parents then. That's called deflection. If I were you'd I'd keep a tighter leash on that crew. They will cost you a game someday with the way they abuse the ref.

The parents take their cue from the coach and nick has no problem abusing officials. He got suspended last year for it and I've seen nothing to indicate he's changed his MO. But for my money scorpion parents are the worst especially against nefc. It seems to bring out the worst in them.

I can't speak for scorpions as a whole, but that is not the case with Scorpions West parents.

So you were at the game and you have no clue what tactical changes were made in the second half, so your opinion is worth even less than mine.
