What scores - most are 1 or 2 goal losses to Class A schools. They'll be fine.

Pomfret v Govenors could probably go either way. Think Wilbraham will handle Lawrence easily. Will be pulling for an upset of a cocky Rivers team, but would expect them to prevail.
Groton seed is very generous considering they lost to Govs 4-2 and tied SM which Govs also beat 4-2. Shocking really. No strength of schedule argument either. Guess the committee didn't want an all ISL final.

        Should have been:

Rivers, WMA, Pomfret, Gov, Groton, Williston, LA, Berk.

Maybe they didn't want 2 ISLs playing first round? Most of these teams are pretty even, so in some ways it doesn't matter - except for the home game. It's nice for the team that doesn't have to travel during what is exams week for most of the schools.

Never under estimate home field. A two hour bus ride can definitely be detrimental. Surprised Winsor didn't get in with their record. I know weak schedule but they could easily have replaced LA or Berk for a one and out.

Let's hope the Rivers midfield scores more than they did against Nobles and WA? Give it a rest. Rivers is in a no win situation. If they don't win Class B it will be a complete disaster. If they do win Class B, it will like winning the NIT in college basketball. All the top teams are in Class A (as proven by Nobles and WA both smoking Rivers in the regular season)

I believe that Groton and Govs were each 7-4-1 in the ISL. I would have seeded Govs higher because of head to head.

Rivers beat Andover and Milton in the regular season, both Class A Schools also in the tournament and Nobles did not beat either of them or Worcester. On any given day any team can win, lose or tie. Berkshire beat Loomis for example and Nobles did not beat Lawrence as another example.

Absolutely agree. Any team in the tournament can beat any other team on a given day. No sure bets. Good luck to all...and hope there are no injuries!

I think several games will be decided by PKs.

Are you saying they'd beat Rivers? I doubt it. Rivers will likely head to Class A after this year. They take soccer seriously.

No, I think everyone loses to Rivers, but Winsor was probably more deserving of a bid than Lawrence or Berkshire.

I agree. Rivers wins it all. I didn't see Winsor, but my daughters team played Berkshire, and no offense, they're probably nice kids, but boy were they terrible. They constantly launched longballs and barely connected a pass. Loomis must have sent their JV, because our team won handily, and they could have by much more if they finished multiple other chances. I know on any given day, but unless it snows and the Berkshire Mountain Bears wear snowshoes I can't help but think this is an easy 5 or 6-0 win.

I think you may see a #6 seed upset, but then everything else plays out with Rivers taking the title. Let's just hope they win with class.

Agreed again. Williston wins rather easily. They are a very strong 6 seed. Their tough schedule has prepared them. Can't wait for Wednesday.
