In games against common opponents, wheeler beat St. George's 3-2 who have finished bottom of the ISL and lost 5-0 to St Marks, and wheeler have beaten St. Paul's twice 1-0 & 2-0 they were also beaten 5-0 by St. Marks and finished bottom 3.
I'm sure those things will be looked at as well by the committee when deciding who gets a home game for the first round.

A win against Groton Would have their record at 8-4-2 in a league comprised of 11 Class A & B schools.

Brewster played St.Pauls twice. Wheeler has not played St Pauls.

A win against Groton would be huge for St Marks.

Why ? Because for years the rest of the league used them as the door mat and now they are in a position to have some success and beat some teams in the league, why shouldn't they recieve any positive attention.

Why should it always be about the same teams....or do we just not like others trying to be competative and upset the usual big names in the league.

I have seen both St.Marks and Wheeler play several times this season. The difference between the two teams is that St. Marks has 2 players that carry the team. Wheeler has at least 9, quite possibly all 11. The only player that I haven't seen challenged enough for them is the keeper, their defense is as solid as we have faced in 2-3 years. If they can handle the pressure, they should walk through this tourney.
Whoever gets the better seed is irrelevant. St. Marks will not survive on the field against Wheeler.

Look, those of us who have followed this forum for many years know there was rarely ever mention of SM. This year, with addition of a couple of "soccer" players, they get constant mention. It's a mediocre team. So, can only conclude that it's the parents of a couple of players trying to see their kids' names/exploits in print. If they give their egos a rest, the interest in SM would be neatly non-existent.

A nice result considering the NT player was out with an injury along with several other starters. Maybe SM isn't "one" dimensional afterall.
