Is it ok if we just call you Nostie? (Nostradamus seems so formal).

You have at least earned the right to make further predicitions on this site so what do you see happening with the ISL teams in the playoffs?

      Thanks.

To tell the truth, I was alot better at this prediction stuff several years ago when I was handicapping the weekly boys ISL games (with sarcastic commentary. Some of you old time talking soccer addicts may remember). Back then I had the opportunity to see all of the ISL boys teams play, many of them more than once.

Times have changed and I dont' get to nearly as many games now. I only have seen about half the ISL girls teams play this year so Ill only comment on the matchups between two teams I actually watched this Fall.

Will someone please make a class C prediction. This poor lady has asked very nicely a couple of times. I haven't seen any of them play or I would.

Sorry. I don't know the teams well enough. I mostly watch A's and B's.

Here are the current WWNEPSSA Class C standings.

Brewster and Wheeler will probably be #1 and #2
St. Luke's and Greens Farms could be #3and #4

Any ISL teams that are in Class C ? Wouldn't their strength of schedule and like results against common opponents push them into a high seeding?

NO! St Marks should be in the field. But they have not beaten any quality teams so they can not be seeded higher than 5 in my opinion.

The ISL season comes down to the Milton v Nobles game this week. Winner of the game wins the ISL title. My guess is Nobles takes it as they are the deepest team this year.

Please list the quality teams the schools out west have beaten. I would suggest that the teams SM has beaten or tied are a tad better.

How will your 5 seed prediction do? Will they beat the 1 or 2 seed? If they do, the seeding procedure is flawed.

Perhaps SM will be excluded from the tournament just to avoid the seeding issue.

The seeding is difficult at the Class C level because some teams play Class A and B teams and others do not. The 2 best teams that I could find for Class C are Wheeler and Brewster. Wheeler has not beaten any quality A or B teams but they tied Pomfret. Wheeler is 16-0-1. Brewster 14-1-1 beat Exeter who is Class A and 13-2, Brewster lost to Brooks( 1-0) . St Marks's may be equal to those 2 teams and may be better than St Luke's and Greens Farms but the committee will not be able to seed them them higher than 5th in my opinion because of their record. St Marks's clearly has the toughest schedule among Class C contenders but they have not beaten many quality teams.

I believe that a Milton win against Nobles makes them co-champs with Nobles. There is no tie breaker.

St Marks has an opportunity to make a statement tomorrow against class B Groton. I think they can break into the top of the bracket with a win there. Tough team to beat though.

In games against common opponents, wheeler beat St. George's 3-2 who have finished bottom of the ISL and lost 5-0 to St Marks, and wheeler have beaten St. Paul's twice 1-0 & 2-0 they were also beaten 5-0 by St. Marks and finished bottom 3.
I'm sure those things will be looked at as well by the committee when deciding who gets a home game for the first round.

A win against Groton Would have their record at 8-4-2 in a league comprised of 11 Class A & B schools.
