That doesn't matter. You only have to win by one goal, and they won. Again. That is what matters. You don't get any points for possession or nice shots that missed. Nor do you get penalized for hanging on and scoring in the last seconds. Please give these girls the credit they are do. They won, BB&N lost, and today's another day.

O.k. yes they have been given credit, and like the baconator last year you appear to have gone beyond giving credit and have some delusions of grandeur... They are a lot better that they have been in a long time. That is not in question, but you should also show a little bit on modesty. Self promotion to a point is o.k, but you are getting way ahead of yourself. One bad plant and turn and SN is out for the season. What happens then?

Bottom line is it is a game enjoy they next couple of years (and try not to embarrass your kids. lol or maybe you might actually want too.)

Good luck to St Marks . They are on the right path . Now can we talk about the league as a whole ? What other schools are gaining some new prospects next year ? Who do you see being a power house( besides St Marks) for talent ? Lets open this up to a league discussion.

A lot of you seem to be thinking SM is putting too much into their ISL wins. Keep thinking that. Lawrence and Middlesex are quite capable of taking on any of the annointed top three and walking away with a win or tie.

Rivers was up 3-1 over Groton. I'm not sure what the final score was, though. I didn't see the game so I have no idea how the teams matched up. It looks like Rivers is for real, though, and Groton has some work to do.

......didn't they lose to WA 2-0? They must have been "not for real" back then.

Status quo from last year? BB & N going to dominate? Will any team from ISL be able to take on any of the NEPSAC power houses like WA or Pomfret? LA making any moves to mirror the football program? St Mark's still at the bottom?
Man...what are we going to do without the Baconator to rile people up!? By the way..say her her play against Virginia and Maryland...pretty darn impressive

Since you've brought up the subject - why should a starting caliber player sacrifice their development for the development of a bench player? How do you define starting caliber? The biggest, fastest kid that enters puberty first?

There are many reasons why ALL the players should expect to see quality playing time. Perhaps the most obvious from a parental perspective is the fact that parents are all paying the same fees presumably to see their kids learn the game of soccer and game time in youth soccer should be considered part of the learning process. From a coaching perspective, you should be smart enough to know kids develop physically and mentally at different rates. You do your team no good not bringing along those kids on the bench. You are but one injury away from those kids becoming starters, so you'd better have them prepared......unless of course you are a win now, worry later type of coach. Then of course there is the issue of mentally preparing those kids who really do have a future playing at higher levels. No team now or in the future need players that think they are prima donas. A little time on the bench does even "elite" players some good, because I guarantee 90% of them are going to find themselves faced with a seat on the pine at some point.
How much have you seen of the Texans play? Girls teams, boys teams...multiple teams or just the 1 or 2 at a tournament, you see, to want to describe the whole club as the same...

Thanks. Tried to get it out there. Probably more mistakes than that one.
