As to WA, they are not the same team I have seen in past couple years as they played a much more direct style. It is not surprising that losing 7 starters has impacted their continuity, particularly in the midfield area, where they used to be quite good at controlling possession. However, I did not see the first half in which WA went up 2-0 and it can be difficult to spread the field at Rivers because they are good at pressuring and the pitch is undersized.
In any event, the ISL appears to be wide open this year as BBN (sans Bacon) and Rivers are both down from last year, Nobles also lost a number of strong players and both St Marks and Groton are on an upswing and may be ready to challenge the usual suspects.

I heard WA is playing a 4-3-3 this year. Is that what you saw?

Have not heard too much about LA . Is there any recruiting going on to better the team ? Just curious if they have any prospects.

If they actually get a game tomorrow, look for the score to be a close as the conditions will not favor the fast attacking teams....

Score update
Governor's 2 - Thayer (home) 1
Physical game on wet field that affected play at times and even prompted coaches to discuss postponing at halftime when score was 0 - 0.
