Ok, so some similar talent to Algonquin. Except for the major MPS/Algonquin connection, of course.

Keller and the Gonk lit up for 3 goals in a 3-1 loss to Worcester North in D1 finals. Never seen a team with all out individual play be able to come out on top and control the game like North did. Congrats to Worcester North.

Fist my pussy who the flying f*** is PO center mid from Worcester North. Are the North players even intelligent enough to play assigned positions? No player from Worcester North will ever be or ever come close to being the best player in CMASS. North have no positional sense and run around like a bunch of headless chickens, sweet their players may be fast and quite athletic but as far as Im concerned a little pace doesnt put the ball in the back of the net. Come back when North wins ONE cmass title and tell me there center mid might be the best player around, oh wait North will never win cmass i forgot.

Hey Englishman, you know now. PO of North was #6 and he absolutely ran the game tonight. He was injured for the season opener against Algonquin. If I was a college coach I'd be all over him. North was outrageous tonight. No dog in the fight but I went to the game (I go to every district final). I have no idea how Wachusett stayed on the field with North in the quarter finals and simply don't see them getting beat. PO IS the best player around. I'd take him first in CMass. Damn. Anyone want some entertainment, take the ride out to Westfield State Tuesday night. It will at LEAST be worth your $7. Damn. They're a 15 deep or more nightmare. That was fun to watch. I'm a huge north supporter as well and PO is a good player but GG # 9 is the team. North had very minimal passing tonight which was shocking as the middle of the field was so open. North is not 15 deep they are 12 deep as only 2 players subbed in all game. North skill broke Gonk if they only passed tonight they could of scored 5 goals. # 20 and # 9 tried doing way to much in final 3rd if they involve teamates they score more . To whoever called out #12 on getting burnt you should be ashamed of yourself. All the kids on the field went hard it was a clean game why call someone out like that. I understand Gonk's the devil to everyone but can you let these 14-18 year olds lose in peace, and not call out the coaches son or any other players. Get lives everyone and take less investment in teenagers agony.

That's what it was. Every single victory and title in the history of Algonquin can be attributed to help from the referees. I hear they pay them before the game, and provide them new cars and vacation homes. Rumour has it this goes all the way to Obama and he's in on it too.

Also, might I add Mario refereed the game this year, and also the Algonquin Cmass final victory last year vs. Leominster. He must have had a change of heart this year, maybe Gonk didn't get him his money in time. YOUR PATHETIC. Being as your obviously not an Algonquin nor North supporter how did your team do this year? Or last year? Or the year before that? Or the year before that? I bet your sons an allstar as well!

Agreed. Let's stay positive. The level of play all over CMass D1 absolutely reached a pinnacle this year. Great entertainment. A good time was had by all. North had a level of raw talent we've probably never seen. Algonquin was its usual organized and disciplined machine. Marlboro had a great possession team. The Mid-Wach A teams were all pretty strong and played the "non kick and run" game. It was good to see Shrewsbury and North Middlesex playing real soccer. Nashoba continued its return to playoff form. South made noise. The SWCL teams had good runs as usual. Well done everyone. No one is headed for the pros. Everyone will be working for a living and enjoying the memories of great fall nights like tonight. THAT was worth $7.

No surprise here. It all comes down to coaching. KM never has and never will win a D1 State Championship. Why? Two reasons; #1, all KM is concerned about is himself (and now his son), he’s got an ego the size of Texas. Like he used to tell the girls team “I don’t care who you’ve played for or who your coach was I’m the best coach you’ll ever have”. Reason #2, he always over thinks it. He did it in 2006 with the Gong girls who arguably had more talent than the Gong girls who won the state championship and last year (when he blamed the loss against Ludlow on the wind). Once KM gets an idea in his head no one can change his mind.

You're kidding me, right? The level of play was quite weak this year. Have you not been watching the games and instead just trying to "enjoy" the memories. Nothing wrong with that but don't confuse it with thinking what you saw was "a pinnacle". Every new set of parents thinks (wants to believe) their kid's team/league/district is better/tougher than the previous years. Anyone that's been watching the last 10 years knows that's simply not true of this year.

At least he didn't offer an excuse this year (except to say it's hard to come back when you're one goal down - what, with all those scorers you're always talking about?). He didn't, however, neglect to offer a dig at North, stating that they knew the team was good, even though Gonk won the season-opener against them. Why can't he just congratulate the team and move on? Why does he always have to bring his own team into it? Just offer kudos to their kids, and yours,and retire gracefully from the scene. Still, it appears he's looking to develop some tact over time, as losing at the end of the season becomes familiar to him. Maybe next year.
