North squeaked by Wachusett last night in the final moments to take the game 2-1, they face the always lethal Sheperd Hill squad. South scored a late goal to take the lead over Shrewsbury 1-0 and are now facing Algonquin. I belive #10 from South is suspended, not positive though, could be trouble for them in the next round.

Based on the age-old saying "defense win championships" I think algonquin should have the advantage with two all cmass central defenders and an all cmass goalie. Should be a good one.

Keller and the Gonk lit up for 3 goals in a 3-1 loss to Worcester North in D1 finals. Never seen a team with all out individual play be able to come out on top and control the game like North did. Congrats to Worcester North.

No surprise at all from where I stand. Wonder if KM will change his MPS strategy, which is obviously failing, and start putting the best players on the field. Congrats to Worcester North - it's great to see some new powerhouses getting going. Gonk will be weaker next year, so Gonk fans will be getting used to feeling like St. John's fans!

Gonk parents are the absolute worst. They are getting the noose ready in the center of town.

North had phenomenal looks at goal in the game, out shot the Gonk, number 9 for north embarrassed Gonks #12 that it was actually comical. KMs son should not have been on the field the last 20 he just kept giving the ball away. 1v1 North was great but should of passed more as the 1v1 became 1v3 and they still tried to dribble. No passing game by north but why woukd you i guess when you have the #9. Gonk was overmatched today

According to KM, in the South victory, he finally had his starting 11 back on the field. Well, maybe today he should have used the players who beat Worcester North last time they played?? There are plenty of really good players who were passed over this year in favor of young MPS kids - JF would not have done this. I know KM is trying to recreate the team that won twice a few years ago by putting a bunch of players who all play for the same club together, but the problem is, these MPS teams don't win (thinking of the MPS boys team in particular who choked in the State Cup final against Blazers last year). I do have to say that this was a talented group of seniors. Unfortunately, the competition just isn't there, and teams don't get better by playing weaker teams. I think it's fantastic that a Worcester team, which likely doesn't have many club players, beat a team apparently filled with some of the "best" club talent the state has to offer. Kudos to Worcester.

And there's the problem - what the heck is KM's freshman son doing playing in such a big game? He's good for his age, but given his size, easy to push around. KM might want to look outside the MPS bubble and make some changes next year.
