Marlboro is playing for their tournament lives. G/D is looking to continue their roll to the number 1 seed in D2. G/D wins.

North Middlesex. No question. A little trouble finishing and a little more keeping the ball out of the net but the only possession you'll see that looks like the club game, including in tightly contested games (everyone looks like they're playing good possession during blowouts).

Next best, Algonquin AND Shrewsbury. Milfod, while skilled, doesn't play the ball back much. Wachusett has no midfield play at all and just clears it from the back with kicks. Leominster is actually also trying the play the game the way it's meant to be played.

I'd rather see a team lose 5-0 trying to play possession soccer than win by kicking it.

Yeah, a lot of talent on GD, but I hear that thay don't share the ball as well as teams past.

If you think NM has the best possession you are whacked out of your mind. For the most part, all you are going to see in high school soccer is kick and run because no team can confidently put 11 players on the pitch who know the game well enough to move the ball and actually possess.

I've seen them play three times now and they do know how to play the game, even if they don't always execute. In addition they were referring to the best "spine" of any team which can be debated NM has, although Algonquin clearly is #1
