Gonk was 100% out played, out shot and out hustled. I'm not affiliated with either school. Was very impressed with N. Middlesex !! KM you were out coached and your team outplayed by PM and his boys tonight !! Gonk should thank the soccer gods. Worcester North the district title is yours to lose after what i saw tonight. If a gonk parent wants to defend this one I'm all ears !

Imagine that - a bunch of high schools boys have a bad night?? NM did outplay the Gonk last night maybe the Gonk should just call it a season now? No matter what the Gonk does someone always has a negative spin - grow up.

The Algonquin team is 25 deep. Just like Groton-Dunstable. THAT's what they have going. NM's legs came off in the last 10 minutes. Algonquin ran fresh legs in all game. I truly wish Algonquin and G-D could play each other but they don't. Those are the two best programs we've played against.

Kudos to the T&G for rolling out a section on their Hometown page where you can check the scores and stories on all the games. Of course, it is all dependent on the coaches calling in their scores.

I was kind of surprised at how often such an unassailable machine as Algonquin resorted to just kicking the ball. Not the kind of play that runs through a state tourney.

And this has been the team's problem. The boys are fine when playing inferior teams, but tends to fall apart when faced with superior opponents. Thank goodness they have CS this year. They won't be half as strong next year.

CS is a terrific player but if you are following the results he is not doing it alone!! Gonk will struggle next year especially in the back - losing alot of defensive midfielders and backs.

Yes, but he got the goal when it counted this time. I agree with you on the d. Coach doesn't seem to have put much thought into next season, but I guess who'd blame him? He wants to try to win States this year. Then he'll worry about next year...

People are such gonk haters and they have been for the last two years. Last time i checked they have won the last two years. Also north happened to lose to the gonk if you are unaware and completely dominated north the whole game because all north is about speed, not playing good soccer.

Won districts, you mean, right? Not States. We all know Algonquin's good as long as it's facing weak CMass teams. Guess what, two years ago KM complained that Gonk wasn't ready for Ludlow's speed (when the team LOST to Ludlow). So speed is obviously something that Algonquin fears.
