This is an awful lot of hate for a group of 11 year olds who are no good anyhow.

Before you say they lost every game at the Andre Cup check the results: http://www.maplesoccer.com/pages/986..._schedules.cfm. They went in as the 3rd seed in their bracket and beat the lower seed (4-2) and lost to the 2 higher seeds (5-4 & 3-0). About where their rank said they should have finished.

If the club is not good, why not just watch as they implode. Sounds like some other clubs may be worried about losing players to a smaller club offering a different option.

This club is made up of mostly town level players. The scores prove it. Implode? With CV running things? Will NEVER happen and just not enough talent over all.

Any coach that has to deal with parents such as this poster above I do feel or you. "Semantic dilemma." Why are you bothered by a parent who appears to be new to maple calling the person in charge to clarify how maple is run? Actually, in my opinion that was the best thing to do especially if there is mixed information being given such as posts on TS.

From someone who lives in W. Mass and has a child and 3 nieces playing Maple I can bluntly say this club is at best a 5th option in the area. Its either WU or Pioneers for the majority followed by Stars West who has done a great job at building a program out here in a short timeframe and then Berkshire FC. Nothing against VSA but whoever said people are afraid they may be taking talent from the bigger clubs as to the reason for all the angst on this board needs to get a clue. Most of the talent is recruited and developed by WU and Pioneers end of story.

The reason why they make it colors at this age is to make it less competitive the spirit of which people like you try to contradict.

Too young at this age to classify. Colors mean colors and the obvious. The 1st color represents the clubs who did the best the prior season. That is all it means. If your son/daughter is in the 1st color you should be proud. Why all this nonsense about Div.1 at this age. You are way to concerned. Wait until this age group gets to U13-U16. That is where it all comes together and you will see the divisions for what they are.

Bull. Yes, "Blue" is the term that is used for U12s, not D-1, but they are substantively the same thing. Several posters, including me, have tried to explain this, very patiently, but we keep getting replies like the following intellectual masterpiece:

blah, blah, blah.. Not true at all. Again, spin it how you want. Wait till u-13. Those will be the only teams in maple d1, d2 and d3. Colors are not divisions!! Again!! Call maple and speak with kathy e. She will explain it if any of you have any questions. Blah, blah, blah.. Give it up.
