Does anybody know what happened with FC United and Gaumond. I see that his team is now a new club called Synergy. Is FC United going to keep losing teams?

Re: Synergy
The real question then is Gaummond coaching the Synergy team in the spring, if so what happens to his GU13 team?

Re: Synergy
Why is that such a burning question for you? Many coaches have multiple teams especially in the spring when more teams play - it's customary for most of the better clubs.
Coach Gaumond is a good coach; FCUnited is an okay club.
There were 2 D1 teams one coached by Gaumond and one coached by the club president. For a variety of reasons the two teams were separate entities - each team had strengths and weaknesses. Many of the family's from the Gaumond team decided that they'd had enough of the costs associated with the FCU club - lots of scholarship players funded by the other family's, not a lot of synergy within the club and across the age-group, and Coach G. wasn't sure what he was going to do (come back or do something else). So some of the players went to the team that was staying at FCU, some went elsewhere. A small group decided that the overhead associated with a club wasn't worth it and decided to try their own thing. They formed a team, found a new coach, and won a spot in Maple-D and moved on. ALa Synergy. Not sure how the club president felt about losing a bunch of playing customers, but the family's that left and Coach G. parted on good terms. The coach was there for the Maple-D play in games - coaching the team in the tournament.
