I am fairly new to this forum but what I have noticed is there seems to be very little input from coaches concerning matters related to the improvement of the youth game. On other forums I've visited coaches will offer valuable insights and opinions, but when questions are raised on this forum that I feel coaches should speak up, they don't. If a coaches can tell me how good they are by promoting their club championships and league results, they should also tell me their opinions or philosophies on youth soccer subjects. Seems that this would be very helpful to those of us who wish to learn more about soccer.

Re: Where are the coaches?
The forum type (allows juvenile cowards hiding behind anonymity) have reduced this place to the trash it is. While there are still the occasional enlightened posts most of it is inane. The coaches have used their better judgement and left the building.

If any coach came on here to talk about development, they'd be torn to shreds and told that they were in some way trying to promote their own club/cause. Instead, they leave this place to anonymous parents and let them piss and moan about anything and everything.

Re: Where are the coaches?
This is a great question. I am a Maple coach, and I have found that all of my posts here these days are defending outrageous allegations made by people against other coaches that I know. Last year, several coaches would participate in discussions regarding defensive philosophies, conditioning, playing time, and other areas....but they were drowned out by shouts of angry others. The posts from the coaches did make for more interesting and worthwhile reading and conversation.

Re: Where are the coaches?
I'm a USSF B and NSCAA Adv. Dipolma coach and going for the "A" and "Premier Diploma" this coming year. Former NCAA (5yrs) and ODP (3yrs), and now a DOC for a club... I try to post some decent stuff on here from time to time on the subject of coaching philosophies and the like, but I've really been turned off by this site lately due to ridiculous parents making outrageous statements. They're either gloating about their kids/club or bashing others, or there are some people asking strange questions about this kid, or that one making transfers... who going to be the strong/weak team this year. WHO CARES? LET IT ALL PLAY OUT ON THE FIELD. There's no need for posts like the ones I've seen, and most seem to be an absurd waste of time.
OK, I'm done with my rant :-) Any specific questions? What can I "attempt" for help you with?

Iam another coach who simply stopped posting. The post below and other wild post are examples of why it is just too much to have to deal with.
I have a question. Why do you post here under "Guest" and not here http://touchline.informe.com under a pen name?

Re: Where are the coaches?
The coaches don't post, because they don't want to be asked questions they can't answer. Look at that other forum. There is a sticky ASK THE COACH, but no coaches have answered the few questions posted there.
