It was the actual e-mail. My frined forwarded it to me because she couldn't neleive what she read. No myth. Fact.

BeachBum actually censored it because of the names mentioned.

The point is, recently people have claimed that he's posting on this board; that he puts false information out there so parents will believe it; and that he 'spies' on people using this forum.

IF club parents are posting inappropriately and negatively, then shame on them. They SHOULD have been censured. IF people are pretending to be ANY coach ---and making false statements, reporting them as FACT about ANY Organization and/or misrepresenting their identity, coaches, and their methods, then not only is it breaking forum rules--it is also libel.

Bottom line...cut the sh*t. Don't say you're someone when you're not. Don't copy a quote and act like you know exactly who said it. And don't report fiction because you're a pissed off parent with an axe to burn. And as a reader, don't believe it if somebody does.

No, it the interpretion of the e-mail was posted first, and then the actual e-mail was posted to the forum. When you read the actual e-mail, you realized what was said in the e-mail wasn't exactly the same as the poster's interpretation of the e-mail.

Sorta like Palin's "I can see Russia from my house" except she never said that. Tina Fey did, but now most Americans believe it was Palin.

Which is exactly what those with an agenda against Palin wanted. And that is also the case with JD.

That's a great analogy. And it applies not only to JD and this situation; but to many other coaches (all teams) who people continually attempt to diminish in this forum. I loved the other poster's suggestion on how to make this forum more useful and informative. Have people register; use a real email address in that process (not made public); and give some basic demographic information so that people can see what mindset you are coming from.

For the bashers, though it wouldn't be as much fun. It's easier to be anonymous and pretend to be in the "know" while you're trashing another (or your own) team or club.

But perhaps this forum is not intended to be informative as much as it purports to be. Maybe it's just for venting. Maybe zero tolerance has achieved something small by forcing hot heads to take it off the sidelines on occasion and go underground.

Who knows. It still behooves us all to act responsibly and put our kids first, right? Not meant to be condescending to anyone. Just again an appeal to newcomers to do their own research.
