Bolts have two teams into the semis on the boys side. Their older teams are typically focussed on the DAP which don't compete in state cup.

Is it because the DAP program does not want to get embarrassed if the DAP teams like the Bolts get beat if they competed in the State Cups.

US Soccer, otherwise known as USSF, is the organization that decided DAP could not participate in the USYSA National Championship series. These are two completely different organizations and the decision regarding DAP had no direct affect on decisions made by the ECNL except to say "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" or in this case "what's good for the gander is good for the goose".

The respective U15 and U16 teams play at a very high level throughout the northeast and have done very well. This league is, without doubt, significantly better than the Mass State Tournament.
I am not sure, how you come about the feeling (not exact words) that the Bolts would be embarrassed with competition.

US Soccer (the people that opetrate the DAP) does not allow DAP teams to play in state cups, and restricts participation in other outside tournaments. Disney, and Dallas are two exceptions. This is done to regulate the number of games per day, proper rest periods, and trainnig-to-games ratio.
Second, no other boys club in Massachusetts has the history of playing in the highest competitions and having success in them over the last 12 years than the Bolts (pre-DAP), so your assertion that they may be afraid or embarrased in competition is a joke. In addition, the DAP is the highest level of club soccer in the USA. They aren't embarrased to participate in that. In fact, they were one of the original 11 clubs named to DAP, so they have been involved from the very beginning.
So your comments have made you look like a total laughingstock who not only has no clue about what the different programs are, but no idea of the Bolts' history. You just come across as a bitter fool.

Pretty much a given that Bolts are falling to second tier in area in relation to the Revs. The U16 bolts are having a real rough time of it.
Top heavy with kids from elite schools in area whose parents have the $ to pay for program.
Program will really suffer if the DAP in area will force players to make a decision on playing HS or DAP.
$$ will be cut off if they force players to make that decision, will back out of DAP if that happens because they will financially not be able to make it.
The wellesley, westin, concord parents will not want to give up Playing at Nobles River BBN ETC.
Take a look at roster of Revs and Bolts and compare home towns....very interesting.

In addition the Bolts pre academy teams look like they are going to become great training venues for the Revs DAP program. The Bolts will be a feeder system for the Revs

The Bolts U16 team has had an off year, but that's one year and one team. It certainly doesn't demonstrate that it's "pretty much a given" that the Bolts are going to be second-tier.

It is egotistical of you to suggest that any DAP club can beat any state cup team in including Regional teams that play in State cups because it is part of the DAP league.

And why do you think the No HS rule will affect the Bolts more than the Revs? Do the Revs have players that don't want to play for their high school teams? Or is this just a Bolts issue?
You are just another Bolts hater whose only goal is to bash the club without a single fact or credible piece of information. You come across as a dumb ass.
