I never said she was on a mean team. In fact she is on a great team. What I did say is she isnt afraid to play against them. In fact she plays more intense against them. She isnt shocked by them. In fact she probably pitys them. Now go put your head back in the sand and go off to play in the NEP with Cupcake.

Or you could do what my East Boston born and bred wife said to a "boorish suburban" parent (a teammates father....). "If you insult or yell at my kid one more time I am going to kick your ass all the way back to Sudbury". Sideline peace was restored for the entire season.

I finally stood up to some parents who were coaching my child from the sidelines. I couldn't believe I opened my mouth, but I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't threaten violence. I just told them to stop coaching my daughter. If the coach wants her to do something, he will tell her...not you. It felt so good. I would totally stand up to dumb dads (sorry other dads) again in a minute. For the most part, I just stand away from the other parents or wear headphones. It is much nicer to watch a game in silence.
