Maybe but the white noise effect on TS is both the propaganda and rhetoric of parents and coaches on the site the most and the backlash by those tired of reading said propaganda and rhetoric.

Really? Bringing this thread back from the dead after 2 years? Whoever you are, you need to find inner peace or something. Wow.

Also, to attack a man in a public forum after its all been hashed out means you have serious anger issues and you, undoubtedly, need professional help OR you have some private agenda you would never admit to here.

So, if you have a problem with him, be a grown up (be a man if I can say that?) and call him up and discuss it rather than pull the cowardly route and hide behind an anonymous post on TS.

My kid has played against him many times and now plays for the club. A talented coach, unique connection to the kids and, by everything we see, a good man.

I do not agree with teams playing up for multiple reasons but referees should call the game based on the age group/level of play and not the age of a team playing up. No league should allow teams to play up for developmental reasons. I also think all leagues should have a referee comment form for the coaches to fill out after the game and mail into the referee assignor for those leagues. The assignor needs to assign qualified referees to the appropriate age and level of play. Also any game that has offsides should have a referee and two referee assistants.

I have seen many SSS teams play up in indoors/outdoors and the referees always error on their side of the smaller younger team. I will agree that soccer is a contact sport and physical play is sometimes part of the game. I will also agree with this parent that kids do not play as hard against smaller younger teams for the fear of hurting them. SSS U10 is a very talented team but I think teams should always play age appropriate games even if they are better than their competition.
        You are 100% right!

This thread isn't nearly as interesting as Binky to Kinky.

          Not even close.
