There is bound to be someone somewhere who will say he's a "has been" as an athlete, that's why he didn't make the team.

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/oth...=feeds-newsxml

"Ochocinco has struggled in his four-day trail this week, which was viewed by many as little more than a media stunt.

But despite appearing initially out of breath and out of his depth, the burgeoning winger and six-times Pro Bowler has apparently improved as the week has gone on.

It may not be enough to see him make the team, however.

'First off, this is definitely above him,' coach Peter Vermes said.

'And it's something that's maybe a little surprising to him, how fast the game is and how athletic and technical the guys are with the speed of play.

'I won't say I didn't expect it. I knew this was going to be a little of a long shot for him. I haven't made all my conclusions.' "

" 'It takes extreme skill to play at this level,' Ochocinco said.

'I have respect for the game and what they're able to do. I think people need to understand: An elite athlete like myself, it takes more than just being athletic to come play at a level like this.' "

He is good enough for NFL football, the best league in the world, but not good enough to play in a minor soccer league.

As you would expect. MLS could use any publicity.

Takes more then being a great athlete to be even an average professional soccer player.

Over the years, every word I have ever heard out of 85's mouth sounded like something you might read on TS. But his interviews during this little stunt have been very different. He actually sounds like a reasonable adult who is just enjoying himself. Good for him.
