There are a lot more maple clubs and maple kids than NEP. We all will miss you!

This thread got awfully quiet with all of the NEFC parents stroking each other at their tournament this weekend!

Come back and post in the Fall (or next Spring for the older and HS kids) when MAPLE looks like a ghost town and tumbleweeds are blowing across the MAPLE fields.

Fighting for MAPLE spots is irrelevant, all the good clubs will be playing elsewhere.

I would like to congratulate NEFC for winning the U13 age group. Good final, with a lot of close games this weekend. I am little confused to what happened to the Pioneers this weekend. They went 0-2-1 against Scorpions Premiere, MPS and NEFC Red Lightning. I was a little surprised how well Scorpions Premiere played against some very good competition. I do not think many people though they would win this bracket. They also played very well in the semifinal match against World Cup but lost in PK�s. I thought Scorpions Premiere out played World Cup but could not find the net. NEFC Red Lightning did very well versus the Pioneers in their consolation match.

I am curious to see how Dr. Z predicts this year spring division and power rankings with the results from the spring tournaments.

Got-soccer ranks are a poor way to judge the strength and quality of a team. It's like the lottery if you don't buy a ticket you don't get the points. Doesn't mean that a team with less got-sucker points is better than a team with less points. Use MPS as an example the older age groups got hammered out in vegas got no points and were elevated in the rankings , go figure.

But their total number of points didn't change. Points expire so a team can move ahead of other teams in the rankings without increasing their own point total.

This place never ceases to amaze me. I am not affiliated with the NEFC U13's in any way, shape, or form, but you people are too funny.

A team wins a tournament and you still find a way to criticize them because they didn't win by enough? Unbelievable.

Did you see them play? Must not have because I stayed to see what everyone was crapping on all the time and came away very impressed. Saw them and Pioneers play yesterday. I don't know why everyone was dumping on the NEFC midfield because they were outstanding in the game I watched. Very solid team. Not nearly the one dimensional attack people would lead you to believe. The wind was a huge factor and they dominated play with it in their face and then blew the game open once it was to their back. The same cannot be said for Pioneer. They have troubles.

The striker that came from from hamlets is very good.
