What the Parents Do After Youth Soccer

With MAPLE, DAP and state cup over for this year a question comes to mind that with So many of us having friends and social aquaintances through the youth soccer circles our sons and daughters play or have played in. What do you do with all that new found free time you have when they decide to stop playing or age out? I am curious as this is something that we will face as a family very soon.

I often wonder what my husband and I will do with all that free time as well. We are so used to running around for practices, scrimmages, games and tournaments. There will be a void when all our children are done with soccer wether by age or choice. I guess we'll just have to remember what we used to love to do before "soccer" :) .

If you found that you enjoyed the sport you could continue to remain involved. Clubs and the town youth organizations could especially use volunteers who have no children in their programs.

Hook up with the friends that you had before you embarked on the Soccer journey.
