    FC UNITED ????

So what is happening to FCU? Both of their D1 teams are being relegated to D2, and heard that 1 of them is leaving all together. Most of the 2nd team played in the Maple D play-in tourney under a new name this past weekend - guess Maple D is more appealing than staying with the club.

Have heard the fees are going up again this year - they already are on par with the big clubs and the offering is inferior. Looks like another club that started out well is going to be gone in not too long. Too bad for kids in Central MA.

The clubs are bad here in central MA. About to take my player to a tryout that is 75 min. from Worcester. What can we do they have nothing around here to compare to the east.

I guess it would be safe to assume that it's not the Padilla team that is leaving. So that means it's the Gaumond team. Didn't that team leave SAC at one time to join FCU? And Padilla's first FCU team left Juventus to start the club. What goes around comes around, I guess, but why can't these guys get along?

yes it is the gaumond team, but it's not with the coach (like last time). The coach is leaving/retiring. Many of the players are either trying out for other teams or forming their own new team - the cost for FCU was way high this past year and the benefits for the 2nd team were nil.

Liverpool FSC based in Oxford is a growing Central Mass club. The training is excellent and the club is focused on development and enjoyment of the game. There is an even balance of girls and boys teams and the club does tournaments together so families with multiple children in the club can all go together. The costs are very reasonable and include more than many other clubs. All tryouts are at Ruel Field in Oxford. For a listing of dates and times go to www.liverpoolfsc.com
